Constant Reinstalling/Repairing

It would be really nice, if on a patch day I could simply download the patch and that be the end of it. I am not sure if anyone else experiences this, but sometimes spontaneously and other times when a new patch is available, my launcher will not allow me to enter the game after downloading. It will force me to repair or reinstall the game completely. Regardless of what I do. I have been forced to do this for every...single...patch. It is part of the reason I stopped playing for some time and have just now come back. I figured after a few years, we should have our *** together right?

I still have never been able to install the game. The launcher is crap. They should learn from Steam.

It's the first time I have this bug. My launcher is redownloading the whole game 35Go+. I tried to repair 2 or 3 times without success. Any help?

Try repairing the game from launcher, then reset the router and launch from 64 bit exe shortcut.

I only run the launcher on update days, rest of the time, use the shortcut to play.

And agreed , the steam launcher is so much better, although remember the horrors of it in 2004 lol.

This happens to me EVERY patch as well. When I get to the repair stage I close the launcher and restart my computer. Then I download the patch again and it works fine. I have done this 3 patches in a row now and for whatever reason it has worked every time.

I still don't understand why they have not fixed this.. people have complained about this all over the forum.

Their solution to this is

- turn off automatic updates
- repair
- install update ( oh that don't work because a file is being used by another process )
- restart computer
- install updates

Update:

3rd time reinstalling since the patch released earlier. I can actually launch the game from the launcher but receive "Error 11" once the screen shows Bethesda's logo before the character screen. All drivers/windows updates are good. Several restarts as well. Will keep at it...since I'm paying for this anyways.

omg installed 3 times, it finally had the Play button enabled.. pushed play and got an "Error". I'm on another repair, and installation.

Also getting "Error 11" and if I try to repair it wants to reinstall the whole game again.

This happened to me when DB released but can't remember how I fixed it. I do remember I found the solution in a post somewhere on the forums last time but there are so many from the last 2 years on the same problem that I can't seem to find the right one again.

Honestly that is not how things are supposed to work. I should be able to click a freaking button.. install.. and then play. Tired of ESO solution: find away around our buggy programs.

But ya.. will try your solution.. after i sit here and complete my install.

Unable to install the f***ing game, never mind the patch. I get the option to 'PLAY' and when i click that button the 'game' crashes. LMAO.
