as a sorc you shouldn't really be using shields for end game pve and focus on dps. in pvp you have to pop shields less than every 6 seconds anyway if thats your style, unless you wanna streak through the countryside feeling safe.5 -

✭✭✭✭✭Give my Magicka Sorcerer the 20 second shield duration back. Most stupid PvE nerf to date. No longer fun to solo Vet dungeons on my Magicka Sorc when I have to cast shields every 6 seconds or less to not get one-shotted.
Staying highly mobile in solo Vet dungeons is also pointless now because your shields will expire so quickly (requiring recast) in between damage+repositioning that you might as well stand still, use some of your damaging abilities, then shieldstack or it'll take forever to kill stuff.
No different now than choosing a Magicka Templar/DK/NB who can all do this much better because their survivability comes from their same skills they use that deal damage (Sweeps, Strife/Drain, Burning Embers/Inhale). Sorc has to cast shields so much that damage comes slowly in between. The nerf to duration blocks out a mobile Sorc's other choices of approaching these situations.Edited by Vaoh on August 1, 2016 4:08PM0 -

It is difficult to solo vet content now for my sorceress since she is afflicted with the desto/XP bug. Having that 20 second shield duration back would be a life-saver.
