Cyrodiil Campaign

dominic.iraceb14_ESO
Just call me "Johnny Come Lately". After spending months completing the main story line of ESO, i just decided to start participating in the Cyrodiil Campaign. A few questions:

1. I like to complete the PvE of the Campaign, I'm currently in the "Red" alliance, but when I get close to a Blue or Yellow area.. Even though i beg with the other players that i'm just "passing through" they seem to kill me.. Making me respawn hundreds of miles away back in my red area.. Is there a trick of the trade to avoid this? Otherwise, how would you complete these areas?

2. In regards to question #1.. I read online that there is a "Guest" Campaign.. that lets you travel into another campaign but you won’t be able to be ranked in the leaderboards or become Emperor. Is this how you join the other Alliances to complete the PvE areas?

Best thing to do is look for a campaign that your faction controls most of. This way, it will eliminate some of the ganking you'll encounter but your never really safe anywhere. Get in and try out the PVP, the better you are at defending against other players, the easier it will be to do the quests there.

Stay off the main roads - if you think you see someone near - get off your mount and go into stealth.
When entering a town in an area held predominately by another alliance - go into stealth, wander around quietly at first, especially near the quest givers - see if your 'eye' opens much. Ask around in your own alliance if there is a campaign that is mostly held by them - I believe SpellBreaker may be mostly 'red' - you'll find it easier to complete if you use that as 'guest' and go there if it is.

In regards to your 2nd question you cannot change Alliance on your character but you can have other characters in different Alliances.

If you do some research and try and find a campaign that EP control most of the map in, then that would be a good pick for your 'guest' campaign.

As @Robbmrp suggests it may cut your deaths down a bit. :)

answer to ur 1) people get AP killing other alliance players so, u r a dead meat if u can't kill 1st no matter how much u beg .. this is harsh but this is the truth. Moreover u can whisper to other alliance players by /tell player_name, (mind the "," at last, it is important) and if they r kind enough, they can let u live ( I won't :P).
    2) guest campaigns are the campaigns used just as ur home campaign.. people who fed up with their home campaigns, go to the guest campaign so expect to be killed on sight in the guest campaign too...

lastly i would like to suggest u to move to those campaigns where red alliance have all the keeps , if Reds have all the keeps then there will be almost no other alliance players lurking around since the campaign is already destroyed by the reds and u can do pve peacefully.
    good luck!

Find one or two other players to cooperatively quest with. Gankers strategically guard quest hubs, but usually not in large numbers. If you have one or two friends, they will usually stay stealthed and wait for an easier target.

don t bother with PVE in cyro, the quests are just boring dailys. The guest campaign is just in case you want to play on an other campaign (for example when you guild mates are on an other campaign, and you want to play with them)

perhaps, but some people want to finish the quest achievements - and completing the Cyro town quests is part of that.

you have to be wary in enemy areas, i would sugest wearing nights silence/ shadow dancer set and sneak about a lot if you are getting into fights you don't want. also keep an eye on the map and try to avoid where the action is.

often you find friendly enemies, i grinded 2 v16 only doing cyrodiil pve and met many friendlies. if you are far from home maybe /wave or jump a few times to show you are not hostile, of course you will get people that have a thirst for blood but in my experience most people in quest places are nice, let each other get on with their business and even do dolmens together.

3 questers are not a problem for a ganker. Yesterday we wiped about 12 AD with 3 men in IC. About 5 times or so/

Just call me "Johnny Come Lately". After spending months completing the main story line of ESO, i just decided to start participating in the Cyrodiil Campaign. A few questions:

Even though i beg with the other players that i'm just "passing through" they seem to kill me.. Making me respawn hundreds of miles away back in my red area.. 2. In regards to question #1.. I read online that there is a "Guest" Campaign.. that lets you travel into another campaign but you won’t be able to be ranked in the leaderboards or become Emperor. Is this how you join the other Alliances to complete the PvE areas?

As others mentioned, there are some campaigns that are rather low population. Also, did you try calling out for help in zone? I'm sure there are a lot of players who would enjoy the chance to help you get revenge on whoever ganked you.

Starting next patch (today), all the towns in Cyrodiil will have capture points and new elite gear vendors, so there should be a lot more activity around them again.

There are decent people like myself who will ignore you if you are below CP 160 and traveling alone, but several others who see you as free 1.6k AP. Best thing to do is wait for EP to night cap Haderus and go there.

you would have to create a character within another alliance - you cannot join another alliance with a character from an opposing alliance. You can then 'guest' on a campaign with the new character with your friends, while having a 'home' campaign for your main.

The quests can be done in any of the campaigns as well as getting the skyshards. You can only be homed or guested to campaigns though. Once you select a campaign as your home, any other you choose you can right click and go in as a guest. You still earn AP while in these guest campaigns, you just don't get any of the Cyrodil Home buffs.

Best thing to do is to ask around in your faction and see if you control an entire campaign. Then when you find one, set that as your home or guest which ever you can do. Hit L to open the Alliance War and on that first page there you will see the list of campaigns. Click each one till you find the name of the one you want and your good to go.

Everyone has had to sneak across the map for this reason if they're bent on completing the quests.

However, easiest thing to do is go in and do the quests or grind where your alliance controls the Keeps.

Make sure to stay away from the battles that pop up if you're not wanting to take a detour to join in.

Stay off the roads in enemy alliance territory.

One day you may log in and your alliance controls most of the map - I take those days to do everything I can in the other areas without watching my back 24/7

DO NOT let anyone see you.

I've let low level players from other alliances run by in a dungeon, cave, or middle of nowhere. Even helped them out with some mobs. Then about 5 min. later I'm sneaking around in every corner and hole because 5 more have showed up for a nice gank party.

I'd recommend Azura's if you want to level the playing field a little if you still get jumped.
