(Origins and History of BoDM) Blade of the Dark Moon has been around since the game was pretty much released when I was able to create my own guild for the first time. It was inspired by the Covenant ''Blade of the Darkmoon'' from Dark Souls. I was torn between having 'Darkmoon' or 'Dark Moon' because as much as I wanted to have the exact name from Dark Souls, I thought instead i'd break the word into two. BoDM flourished in the early stages of the games release, people joined, and a core group was formed later on and we would all quest and roam together, it was great. BoDM went through a rough time where core group members argued amongst their differences and a group of them conspired to steal from the guild bank and remove every existing member from the guild, all because they were sanctioned for committing 'guild crimes' (best way to put it). We lost everything we'd worked to collect and gather. After all the culprits were dealt with, the last of us (2 members) were left scratching out heads, and I stopped playing for 3 months. When I came back (December 2015) I decided to build BoDM again because I loved it, and now it has evolved and is a lot better. Now BoDM is always on the look out for new blood. Below will contain all the details about the guild. Any questions, PLEASE MESSAGE ME VIA XBOX LIVE. My gamertag is Chrysa1is.

-Blade of the Dark Moon is an all-round guild dedicated to Trading/PvP/PvE. (DAGGERFALL COVENANT - EUROPEAN SERVER) Members will often discuss what activities to do amongst themselves, whether it be pledges, farming, world boss hunting, skyshard hunting, PvP etc. A microphone is preferable but not absolutely essential. Although having a microphone has its benefits when it comes to becoming a trusted member of the guild. We operate a zero tolerance on players/members that commit or are any of the following: Bullying, Harassment, Racism, Homophobia, Threatening Behaviour, Scammers, Trolls. Anyone committing any of these violations will be removed from the guild and reported. Reputation is a big deal in ESO, so if you are a known scammer or any of the 'stated previously' you will be unable to join.

-I created a ranking system that gives members different roles and responsibilities within the guild. Certain ranks have prerequisites, and you can decide which rank you want to earn by reading the 'Guild Information' Section below where I post guild updates/news. Below are the lists of ranks that currently exist, and I shall explain how to earn them, and what responsibilities/privileges they give. There are 2 more ranks available to create as we currently have 8/10 made. (From lowest to highest):

SERVANT: Default rank given to new recruits. No responsibilities, although they can donate if they so please (All donations are appreciated) Able to invite members, join chat, deposit and sell in guild store.

DARKLING: Rank given to those who donate 5000 gold and 1 moonstone. (ALL MEMBERS WISHING TO EARN FURTHER RANKS MUST OWN THIS RANK) Responsibilities include donating any crafting materials (wood, ingots, leather, alchemy etc) from time to time. These materials are then used for helping other members who may require assistance with armour and weapons. Able to invite members, join chat, deposit, sell in guild store and claim alliance resources. This rank also serves as a prerequisite for the next rank:

DARK KEEPER: Rank given to those who claim a Keep in the Scourge Campaign for the guild. This allows us to extend our reach of the guild trader into Cyrodiil. The sole responsibility of Dark Keepers is to make sure we always have control of a Keep, and if we lose one, to claim it back or claim another. Able to invite members, join chat, deposit, sell in guild store, claim alliance resources and release alliance resources. The reason I allow this rank to release resources is so we release an unwanted farm or lumberjack claimed by a Darkling, also because it gives purpose to the 'Sinner' rank, which you shall see and be explained further on.

BLUE SENTINEL: Rank given to those who complete a Veteran Pledge with the guild leader (myself) upon request. The responsibility of this rank is to help fellow guild members with pledges and veteran pledges ONLY should they ask for help. This rank exists so that members have people to complete the pledges with. Failing repeatedly to help guild members, or quitting mid-pledge results in demotion back to Darkling, but it can be earned again. Able to invite members, join chat, deposit, sell in guild store, claim alliance resources, release alliance resources and read member notes.

SINNER: Rank given to those who break the rules of the guild. Sinners have almost zero privileges and are only allowed to deposit. Here are some of the guild rules:
-Do not bully, harass, be racist, threaten, scam or troll any eso players, especially guild members (depending on the severity, you may be placed as a Sinner or be kicked)
- Dark Keepers are not permitted to release ownership of claimed Keeps so that others can earn the rank quicker. The idea of this rank is to make it a fun race amongst other members who want the rank. (Why not disable the release resources option you might ask) Enabling the privilege gives the Sinner rank a purpose and also shows who can be trusted with authority.
- Blade ranked members must return all borrowed resources after use and repay any loans within 48 hours after borrowing gold, otherwise this will be classed as stealing from the guild.
- Gaining trust for the sole purpose of betraying the guild later on results in immediate placement in Sinner rank, or will most likely be kicked, depending on severity.
-More rules may be added as new situations arise.

BLADE: Rank given to trusted members of the guild. Blades will most likely have microphones, donate frequently, offer to help, recruit, be a genuine friend in-game and in real life and want to help grow the guild. Responsibilities include helping the guild leader to acquire guild traders on the day they reset (although not always essential), donating often, act as an advisor and council in officers chat. Able to invite members, join chat, deposit, sell in guild store, claim alliance resources, release alliance resources, read member notes, edit member notes, hire guild traders, join officer chat and withdraw from guild bank.

BLUE EYES: Rank given to only 2 members who I know personally and are my friends. Blue Eyes are essentially my eyes while I am away. They are the watchers of guild activity and history and have the authority to promote, demote and remove members. Responsibilities include watching guild history/activity, promoting members should they complete the requirement for earning a specific rank, demoting and/or removing members should they break rules of the guild. Able to invite members, join chat, join officer chat, read member notes, promote/demote/remove members, deposit/withdraw from bank, sell in guild store and hire guild traders.

DARK MOON: Rank of the guild leader. Oversees all guild matters, notifies guild with updates and news, maintains stability and makes sure the guild is managed correctly and deals with any matters that arise.

It may sound like Blade of the Dark Moon is an overly strict guild of nerds, that are way too serious and that all seems like a bit too much. But it really is not that at all, anyone is welcome, if you're emo, goth, gangster, grunge, hipster, old, middle aged, female, male, transgender, gay or a parent, etc. I made this guild to have fun, I made the ranks work as best as they could so it makes it fun for members trying to earn them, and to perhaps enhance your experience with guilds and give you a sense of purpose and good in-game. Friendships have been made along the way and all outcomes are always good. We are in need of members who want to have fun with us, and progress with their characters and builds, earn gold, and represent the guild in PvP. We are in need of a new core group too (members that are always active and talk daily). As it stands, we currently have 445 members in the guild, but a lot of them are most likely inactive but there is always room for active players.

I really hope that you're interested in joining, and I apologise for the essay but I wanted to sell my guild as best as I could. So please, if you are interested and want to join, don't hesitate to message me via xbox live (Chrysa1is) and let me know. It will be good to have you on board. We look forward to seeing you.
