Mixing it up and keeping it interesting

At the end of the provisioning certification when Danel Telleno eats "Roast Pork"
Danel Telleno: "Hmmm unusual flavour....am I tasting..." Me: "I probably tastes funny because I made it entirely from monkeys...the other white meat".

Given crafting can be time consuming and tedious, is there anything you do to add fun and / or humour to the experience?

Oh well...poor Danel
At least he didn't ask for dessert. He could have ended up with...chilled monkey brains...alas I don't think there is a recipe for that.

With things like gathering resources or grinding through hordes of enemies it is a shame when aspects of a game can seem like work / a chore when most of us play as recreation. This is true of many games though.

I still wonder if there are others who have found creative ways to add humour to the quests / tasks.
