Does regular maelstorm arena drop maelstorm weapons? or is it only veteran mode?

Just vet from either the leaderboards or last chest. Next patch, the last chest will have a 100% drop rate.

What kind of rewards i can expect from regular one? My characters are not that good to do veteran mode.

The end of Normal nets you one piece of 160 Maelstrom Gear. It's terrible and useless.

The orsinium set gear (briar heart, winter born, etc), and a skill point for clearing it the first time.

Neither mode drops a weapon.

Most the normal gear I have found is junk. But it seems to be a decent way to level yourself and skills.

Normal VMA is a decent XP grind and does give you a taste of the mechanics you will see in vet. The gear from either arena (other than weapons) is trash. Some of the sets look cool at first, but I haven't found any of them to be useful.

The difficulty, however, is night and day between the two. The mechanics are basically the same, but the damage you take goes through the roof, and everything has a lot more health. If you cant clear normal VMA without dying, I would stay out of vet.

You don't get briar or trinimac in there. I wouldn't mind if it did though.
