Are Gap Closers Meant to be Dodgeable.

It sounds weird and makes me sound like I know nothing about PvP XD (When it's all I've done for two years) but are Gap Closers meant to be dodgeable.

For example: if someone Crit Rushes me and I Dodge Roll, is it meant to hit me or is the damage meant to be negated?

You should be able to avoid the Crit Rush altogether. Sometimes it's flaky, but in all of my experience dueling, one of the key strategies as a caster against a 2hander is to dodge roll through them, so as to end up behind them when they complete their charge, which will still land wherever you were standing when they activated it. It sets them up for a follow-up attack too. Usually a hard CC like petrify, agony, or rune prison can secure the fight for you right then and there.

Thanks for the tips, I'm a bit rusty atm. Sometimes I get frustrated when I get Crit Rushed or Toppling Charged and I dodge roll, expecting to get out the way of the attack but then it just hits me anyway.

From your original statement of 'You should be able to avoid the Crit Rush altogether' does that mean that, yes it should be dodgeable and Gap Closers are buggy atm? Because I see it happen with some abilities and not others. Dragon Leap misses sometimes when people Dodge Roll, however abilities like Critical Charge, Ambush and Toppling Charge seem to hit whether you dodge roll or not.

I might have to defer to someone else for a bona fide "yes" or "no". Gap closers have been very... um, for lack of a better word, I might say unreliable or unpredictable. Sometimes gap closers that have historically always worked reliably started having pathing issues and sometimes will get a character stuck in charge animation indefinitely. So, it's tough for me to say "yes" in that it can be dodged.

I think the best answer I can give is, when everything is functioning properly, then yes, gap closers can be dodged. In this case, timing is key. The dodge should occur as soon as the charge begins or mid-charge, not right before they hit you.
