[Poll] Option to Convert Our Gear's Style

ZOS, can we please get an option to convert our gear's style WITHOUT having to re-craft our gear? I know it's possible for Imperial, so that tells me right there that it can be done. I could be wrong, but it seems like it would be a very easy thing to implement. The code's foundation seems to already be laid out with the ability to convert gear to the Imperial style. Add some more variables to the equation and voila!

I wouldn't mind having to re-craft my gear every time I want a different style, but with it being as costly as it is, I can't help but want an alternative. Even if it costs me the style materials to make it happen, I wouldn't mind.

Feel free to vote and share your opinion. And yes, your votes and opinions matter. Let ZOS hear our roar! #datcovenantpridedoh

I'm currently saying "Yay" but it has to be done right ... including having knowledge of the 'converted to' motif on that piece and the appropriate motif traits (or mimic stones). Otherwise, it bypasses the whole trait system.

Of course. I couldn't agree more.

I don't see the point. Motif variety is a key foundation of the crafting mat markets, and mats are already easy enough to get. You have dyes and costumes with which to customize your appearance. No reason to dumb the game down.

I want to convert the monster set pieces personally. My character is not going to look like a cockroach with that Velidreth helmet. Unless they make it so you can convert the style, I'm hiding the helmet.

Saw a person with a monster helm today, it looked absolutely terrible. More terrible than Sissy bows.

Eh, I think this would help invigorate that market IF it's implemented properly per @Taleof2Cities suggestion. Maybe even require it to cost the same number of mats to re-craft as it costs to craft CP 150 gear (in addition to the style material and knowledge requirement of course). The ability to change our appearance wouldn't "dumb" the game down. It would give the community freedom of choice. Furthermore, it's already in the game for the Imperial style. If not for the sake of convenience, then surely you could appreciate it for the consistency, no?

I feel style is something that should only be determined during crafting. Style is woven into every detail of an item. To change the style should require a complete breakdown of an item to remove the previous style characteristics.

Also converted items would be bound just like with convert to Imperial style. Between that and the fact you'd have to be able to craft the style yourself, this is a pointless addition.

But...its a fantasy game ;___; we should have some kind of magic that allows us to change the appearance of our costumes without thinking logically about it! =D

Then we should get back ALL our mats when we break down our gear. Currently, ESO does not adhere to the law of conservation of matter.

Pointless to people without a crafter perhaps, but that's not the case for everyone. If it doesn't negatively impact your gameplay, why deny others the choice?

I get it. This is mainly an issue for 160 crafted gear cuz of the ridiculous amount of mats need to craft, and non craftable set items that style can't be controlled. I guess there could be some illusionary magic to alter the appearance.
