Red dialogue issue, backed out due to combat (won't let me to talk to Wallows-in-sand again)

So.... anyway... I know that when Red dialogue text shows that PRESSING it is a final choice that you can't go back from. Even game hints say this. But not once have they ever covered that closing the conversation when red choices are present would also prevent me getting to that screen again.

What happened is this. I'm in Alikr desert, i stumple upon an Argonian called Wallows-in-Sand, her story is she's hungry and has no gold, and that she was a runaway slave, with two options, two offer her some gold or refuse. anyway i was going to give her gold, hoping that's the begger i needed to find in alikr for that achievement "give gold to beggars" and lists locations in DC. so anyway, something happened, somehow there was an enemy near (i guess someone was being chased and ran by?) so i didn't want to die while talking to an NPC incase that would ruin it... so i back out(Wallowsinsand say something in the grumpy tone indicating a response to refusal to help), attempt to fight... but then it insta heals and runs (%^&*&&*) and now i can't talk to Wallows anymore.... i had hope if i walk away a few feet and return it might reset... nope... wait a bit incase... still no. i walk away for about 7 seconds distance and return, NOW WALLOWS-IN-SAND IS GONE COMPLETELY.

What i want to know is. Is this one of the NPC's counted as a 'beggar' to give gold to throughout tamriel? Is there a way to actually fix this? (I know with quests you can abandon to reset, but this was no quest it's an encounter) Or am i literally screwed now? I know it's all flavour text, and in the long term means nothing, and that ZoS most likely just wrote this piece up as a small detail not caring if anyone would read all the text or care as much as i do. But i have just turned my back on a runaway slave with NOTHING to get by because of this... i shouldn't have even been able to be attacked where i was.

Also, unrelated, but is there a specific wiki/guide webpage that's the most up to date/accurate for ESO? i'm trying to find info, usually on quests because i'm doing Imperial Infiltration too, and i wanna find out if there could have been any way to save Glorikha from her fate.

    Yes.

Probably by finding her again. (She spawns randomly at fixed locations, (which are shared with the lightbringer couples and muggable merchants.)) I know you can offer gold to the same beggars multiple times. Though I've never been in exactly this situation.

omg. Okay, so i know yuou did say 'yes', but because of how i feel about this, so you specifically are saying Wallows-in-Sand can be found and spoken to again and fix this? (only because i want to rule out any small chance you might be thinking of a different name, sorry)

Pre-emptive ty ty ty ty ty ty ty if you happen to reply again to confirm this regarding Wallows-in-Sand.

I really don't wanna delete and restart my entire game D:

I don't remember the name, but the story about an escaped Argonian slave, who's hungry and destitute is the beggar for A'likr.

Also, the beggars do work like this. If you back out of their dialog, they completely shut down. Normally you can leave dialog and return to conversations without penalty, but the beggars take leaving without a word as a "no."

Ahh.... so this is a unique case to beggars... well thank you tremendously for the info. I was so worried. I know it seems so trivial but i take my character story seriously, i don't even like the fact if i want to complete all achievements i'll have to join dark brotherhood and murder innocents.... i guess i'll wait to see if i ever become emperor before i bother with the easy achievements lol.

So... this would be a bad time to point out there are achivements for maxing out the werewolf and vampire skill lines? :p

Werewolf, sure. Vampire advances based on XP earned. Even at CR, you're still going to be spending a couple weeks as one before you can max it.

Hmm... i tohught you were referring to my 'innocent killing' comment, not the easy achievement comment.

I'm already max level in both vampire and werewolf now, they weren't an issue for me :o

Ironically, I do like how The Elder Scrolls rarely tells you, explicitly, you're doing an evil thing. It leads to some hilarious RP justifications from players who are thieves, and go, "but, no, really, I'm a decent person." Or all of the people who look at the Morag Tong and say, "but, no, I wasn't evil when I was a member. I only murdered people as my code of honor dictated, and sometimes through extralegal writs... and sometimes because they were in my way..."

lol, i've argued with someone who believes they shouldn't get a bounty for killing an NPC that attacks them because he breaks into their home and stole something, because he believes theft is a lesser crime by comparison. (in the real world you would attack someone randomly in your home too, even if the thief doesn't plan to do harm, the victim can't know they won't be murdered.)

I said something to the effect of "it's tragic to see these people dying horribly when all they did was try to defend themselves from a bandit that had broken into their house."
