Does twisting paths still proc scathing mage?

If not, would scathing mage be more efficient on another class? Is it still bis for mag nb?

i've heard yes to both from multiple sources, though it won't proc often enough in vma to beat julianos' flat 300 sd i don't think, and i'm thinking a ~60% warhorn uptime will beat it. still trying to farm some pieces for myself, however. fun times ahead.

What??? It's procs of everything a magblade has except cripple. Ele blockade and path, crushing shock gives it 5 chances to proc alone in 1s, you can have it up permenently if there is enough to attack.

Far better than Julianos.

It is most likely BiS for Magicka builds (I hear this may not be the case for Magicka Templar) due to the fact that you can have it up almost 100% of the time with lots of DoTs ticking.

The difficulty rests with obtaining good traits on this gear.

I'd love to know if 5 pieces of Gold CP160 Scathing Mage (all Well-Fitted) beats out 5 pieces of Gold CP160 Julianos (Infused/Divines).

That's my situation, minus the part of Scathing Mage being Gold.

Still yes I reckon. Only Tbs with Warhorn up all the time trumps it. The only thing I wish they would do is..... @ZOS_GinaBruno any chance a change can be made to scathing mage? Just a visual one you can't tell what's what if the healer has SPC on you. Like an aura or something. Both have the same visuals and it's impossible to tell what's up when you're stacking in a group. It's a bit petty granted but looks like a slight oversight with the design.
