Option to remove the new blocking animation?

Hello. I am not sure when it was added (probably months ago), but now when you block with your character, the silhouette of a shield appears in front of you, hovering mid air.
Personally, I find this distracting and damaging to my immersion. I block with two swords and this magical shield appears out of nowhere a yard ahead of my character. It even appears in first person view. You can clearly see when a character is blocking without it, so I genuinely think it is unnecessary.
Can you please add an option to remove it? I do not mind whether it is turned on for new characters by default or if it gives other players an edge. I just do not want to see it.

Ulfgarde✭✭✭✭✭I think they mentioned something about an option for removal while in first-person in the recent ESO Live. They said sure, but it'll be implemented later on next year.

I guess it shows the precise moment and direction of the block, which can help streamline blocking.
