Alchemy poison solvents and reagents - are they in demand?

Can anyone advise me if there is a high demand yet for poisons and/or the poison solvents and reagents?

Presumably if there is, there are some which are more sought after than others. Does anyone know which ones they might be?

    1. Poison solvents and reagents.. Cant say, Most guild traders are already flooded with 3-4 pages of these. You might need to drop prices quite a bit to make money.

    2. Alchemy reagents seem to be lacking in a lot of the traders ive been too. The one's I do see, tend to be priced on the unreasonable side.

The most in demand alchemical reagents since the dawn of ESO are Columbine (cos its the main ingredient for health based pvp potions like immovability), mountainflower (for stam), bugloss (for mag) and nirnroot (which is used in dailies).

If you are interested in making gold, id recommend making tri pots, immovability pots, spell/weapon power pots and selling them in stacks of 100 for reasonable prices. These tend to sell quickly and are always in demand.

    Thanks for the info.

I've always used tri pots with Mt flower, bugloss and columbine myself for all of my characters. Never thought of selling them but might do now that I have over 200 of each ingredient. I have seen the huge prices being asked for the ingredients myself and it has always seemed over the top considering you find them everywhere.

As someone who picks up everything from every plant/corpse/chest I come across, I have started to gather a lot of the poison solvents and reagents since they were introduced but wasn't sure if there was a demand for them.

Columbine are not only used for tri-pots and immovability pots, but they are also used in the ozorga recipe that gives max health and stamina recovery. It's definitely an easy way to make gold.

I've noticed that the CP 150 poison solvent isn't selling as well as alchemy solvent. I found a stack of 200 on sale the other day for 300 gold. Some of them are 1k a stack, but most people are trying to get around 3-5k.

I can't imagine people needing the poison solvents at lower level tiers. I'd stick with the alchemy side for making profit. The lower tier solvents are used for leveling up the profession and clear water is an ingredient needed to make the ozorga recipe that makes max health and magicka recovery food.

I'm on Xbox EU and alkhahest doesn't seem to sell very well and I haven't got to the point where I've got extra poison ingredients to try and sell but in guild history I've seen a few butterfly wings sell for stupid amounts. For alchemy ingredients I sell them in stacks of 10 at 3k each apart from columbine that I sell at 6.5k and nirnroot which I don't sell as I don't have any extra. Judging by how quickly they usually sell I'm listing them too low and need to check my prices

Reagents pretty much always sell - but not for a whole lot (12k for a 100 is pretty common) except for Columbine & Namira's Rot, which sell for significantly more.

Potion solvents do sell - including lower level solvents for those levelling alchemy. Filtered water (I think that's the one - the Coldharbour drop) can be pretty pricey as they're a pain to farm. Lorkhan's Tears sell en masse.

Poison solvents don't sell for much gold at all - few people seem to be using potions, plus people are getting a large amount of Alkahest from mobs by just completing their usual content.

Butterfly Wings and Mudcrab Chitin - 700-1000 apiece

Most of the rest go for about 100

    Solvents are worthless.

Maybe more for Chitin. Low drop rate.

Maybe more for Chitin. Low drop rate.
I've had chitin up a few times at different price points and invariably have pulled it right before expiration.

As Panth said, the solvents really aren't worth wasting the listing slot on. This pretty much goes for anything you can acquire by killing mobs.

Butterfly wings are selling, but slowly. Torchbug thorax even slower.

Regular alchemy ingredients fly off the shelf. I put 100 of the main ones out in stacks of 50 and they usually don't last 24 hours.

Although I don't sell them as much as alchemy mats, tempers, kutas and nirncrux sell well, too.

Surprised about Chitin. I can never find it for under 900.
Armor Debuff poisons are OP and armor buff potions are great as well.

Butterfly wings create the double healing potions and the double health stealing poisons.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I'll try listing a few of the items mentioned and see what happens.

As I wrote in my post here, the implementation of poison ingredients drops was just really bad.

The problem from an economical and trading point of view is that there is simply too much supply of poison ingredients, they're too easy to get in huge quantities, and the demand is tiny at best.

Last time I checked, prices for alkahest were around 4 gold per item, and guild shops are overflowing with the new poison ingredients.

An incredibly daft implementation of what could otherwise have been a healthy saltwater injection into the trading economy of this game.

It's obvious that listing stuff that sells under it's base price is a net loss. Tried selling alkhahest at base price +10% and still was unsold. I ended up selling the rest to NPCs. Same with poisons that drop from mobs. It's more profitable and less time consuming just selling them. Alchemy ingredients are from 30 gold a piece for Blessed Thistle to 350-400 for Columbine and even more for Mudcrab Chitin. Lorkhan's Tears sells well, and so does Clear Water level 10 solvent. The rest don't really sell well. People probably just level alchemy, spec skill points in the next tier and repeat until they reach the top tier. Leveling it at base skills with level 10 potions is wasteful because the plants are relatively expensive, as opposed to provisioning ingredients. There you can just keep making level 10 or 15 food (first tier recipes) until you reach 50 without any regrets because ingredients are dirt cheap and you can get huge amounts just looting every container.

Here is a list of most desirable potions and their ingredients. Those plants and the respective potions sell the best:
    - Essence of Health (aka. TriPot) : (Lorkhan’s Tears, Bugloss, Columbine and Mountain Flower) – Restore Health, Restore Magicka, Restore Stamina
    - Essence of Spell Power: (Lorkhan’s Tears, Cornflower, Lady’s Smock, and Water Hyacinth/Namira’s Rot) – Increase Spell Power, Increase Spell Critical, Restore Magicka.
    - Essence of Weapon Power: (Lorkhan’s Tears, Blessed Thistle, Dragonthorn and Wormwood/Water Hyacinth) – Increases Weapon Power, Weapon Critical, Restore Stamina
    - Essence of Immovability (1): (Columbine, Mountain Flower, Wormwood/Namira’s Rot) - Restore Health, Restore Stamina, Become Immune to knockback and disabling effects
    - Essence of Immovability (2): (Bugloss, Columbine, Wormwood/Namira's Root) - Restore Health, Restore Magicka, Become immune to knockback and disabling effects
