A system outside combat, story, or presentation is not trying to be anybody else lol. Now If ESO got rid of the champion system, removed swappable skill lines and went with classes only, changed the combat from what it is now to tab target mmo standard that would be ESO being like other games.UltimaJoe777 wrote: »UltimaJoe777 wrote: »This is why we have alts though.[1] Characters were created to give your gameplay something to embody. 1. Mhm.
2. Indeed.
3. Of course.
4. Yup.
5. All about diversity, sure.
6. Absolutely.
7. Yeah.
8. Actually they were made so people could play together with others like them.
9. And boy has gaming changed over time lol
10. Eh I play alts for the aforementioned reason you gave personally but this works too.
11. I usually pay attention to the plots and stuff on my main, and ignore it on my alts lol (unless said alt experiences something my main did and cannot)
12. And yet Zenimax gives us conveniences to ENcourage alt usage for this and other reasons. Actually, they just cater to alts lol
13. Thing is some games set their OWN standards as well. It's honestly nice to see ESO not try to be WoW, Final Fantasy, or any other game for that matter by outright copying their "standards".
So, I'm not sure what a good name for it would be but I'm used to WoW calling it Dual Spec. Basically, it allows you to save skill set ups that you can switch between. For ESO, I'd like to be able to switch between 2 or more champion point and skill point set ups without having to go to a shrine and spend time and gold.
So let's say I have a Stam NB. But I want to also be able to tank sometimes. Sap tanks are the usual choice for NBs but they are magicka focused so champion pt and skill morphs are completely different between a Stam DPS and Magicka Tank. I would like to be able to switch between these on the fly out of combat. All you need is to carry around a second set of gear. I think this would also encourage more folks to try other roles or fix issues where it's taking a long time to replace a tank or healer who dropped group.

or zero if you're a magicka user.
not to mention making it easier for people to be tanks/heal means more tanks/heal around in general (aka faster queues).
alts aren't a solution, not unless they make achievements account wide. heck I wouldn't mind having a complete clone of my char that uses the same questlog etc. and just is a different class while contributing to the same achievements. can't be that hard...
ScottK1994 wrote: »I think you're describing something other than dual spec? You're talking being able to lock and create our item sets(like switching equips)
Because skill point wise we can already dual spec we just have to change gear one by one(something I agree should be changed)

True but maybe they could charge gold to unlock the 2nd, 3rd, etc. set up slots.
