With one Tamriel should we get a faction change option?

Since one of the main problems of faction change is how the quests and skyshards and area levels will transition, one Tamriel will adjust that. Personally I have all my characters in AD and that one Imperial is in DC which was my first character fully leveled and horse trained (the biggest problem of starting a new character). After I switched to AD I felt demotivated to play him, he is my only tank and I really need a tank for my AD, and I don't want to reroll and waste all the time and effort spent on him. Also in PvP I don't feel like betraying my faction :D

And most importantly it really won't hurt to have that option, if it costs real money people won't just do it willy nilly, they will consider very carefully before they do it, plus its another money option for ZOS

If I was pledged my alligence to the Aldmir Dominion but felt that that there actions was wrong as a example and another Faction dose something that fits that person, He would pledge his alligence to that Faction instead of the Dominion.

Considering the only place this matters is in PvP, I don't think it's useful, that's why I voted no, but if it's popular enough to make ZOS money, why not...

See, to me, the idea of faction changing is slightly repellent. I can only imagine how many times people would change to flavour of the month factions depending on who was winning all the time.

If you want to be in a different faction, roll an alt.

Yes. Since i started my 2 AD characters i have made good friends with EP so had to reroll and make 2 EP characters for PVP. Would be nice for a one off change to get all my characters over to EP. Even my guild is EP lol

There isn't an "other" option here.

My proposal is that we remove alliance loyalties from characters in PvE altogether, and that you choose your PvP alliance on a per-campaign basis (so, you could be blue on one, yellow on another...you get the idea.). This can then only be altered once every 30 days OR at the end/beginning of a new campaign.

Essentially, from the outset, we have always been mercenaries for hire. Even from an RP perspective, our loyalties are suspicious, and only motivated by monetary reward. This is actually made clear in coldharbour, where you are reminded that your loyalties lie with the Mages and Fighters guild, who are independent of the Factions in the 3 banners war.

I would also personally like to see guild faction loyalties removed altogether.

Well you'll pay crowns for a faction change the price of one faction change could be close to the explorer's pack bundle so its definitely not free

Seriously, the only thing that alliance represents will be Cyrodiil PvP. If anything, there will be LESS reason to offer a faction change.

It's not something that should change.

One Tamriel makes it easier to play content with your friends, which is nice.

Alliance changes would be very bad for ESO.

Alliance and class will soon be the only 2 choices that are final in this game(with race/appearance change coming with the SoTH update). Faction already makes very little difference when it comes to dungeons and trial and with the release of Tamriel One, it will only affect PvP.

You really don't need to grind in this game anymore. Leveling is fast enough just playing normally, for example you can level in PVP from 10 to 50 in a week or two, or even faster doing quests.

LVLing isnt the issue anymore, its lvling skills. I made a new char, hit 50 in about 20hrs because im lazy. Still took about another 15-20 hours to get all the skills and skill lines up (excluding undaunted and pvp)

That doesn't sound like a lot of hardship to me.

Personally, my objection is the technical issues this would cause with the quests, though that may be mitigated by Tamriel One. And if you switched factions, any alliance rank and alliance skill you've earned should be reset to 0.

I don't see faction change as being necessary, but then I wouldn't have name, gender, race or class change either. Roll a character and run with it is my approach, and if circumstances change then adapt to the change or re-roll.

I agree that there needs to be a Faction Change option. However, I do agree that there should be limits as to how often this can be done.

The primary reason I want this option is so that I can PVP with my wife on my favorite character. You see, for a while my wife was unable to play the game (about a year). In that time I was playing a character and faction I enjoyed on the DC faction. I really got into it. Then circumstances changed and she wanted to start playing again. So I rolled a NB to help her learn and went with the faction she wanted to play. After finishing the 3 faction story lines I decided that I wanted to go back to my sorcerer, but that means I cannot do PVP in the same faction with her.

Because my sorcerer has all my prized motifs and trait research and so on, I do not simply want to lose that investment. I have no desire to invest all that time all over again when a simple one time paid faction change could solve my problem and help me continue to enjoy the game. One Tamriel fixed most of the issues with this situation, but it doesn't help in PVP.

My suggestion is that faction changes should be made available at a premium price and should be limited to once every 30 or 60 days (or perhaps add 30 days to the time frame for each faction change completed per character). At that price point, for the most part, only those with practical reasons for changing (such as playing with family or a new guild/group of friends) would utilize this feature and they would probably only do it once or rarely. After all, multiple faction changes at that price point would get rather expensive fast and curtail those who would want to abuse the system and adding the time penalty to how often they could use this feature would further guarantee it doesn't get out of hand.

Just my thoughts. But I really hope that in keeping with the Elder Scrolls theme of being whatever you want to be that this will be added really soon.

Factions should not be locked at all. They should be assigned to an entire account upon selecting a campaign and once that campaign ends, it should reset your faction until you re-enter and select

The only place this matter is PVP, and if you really want to PVP in other alliances you can make a character for that alliance. This would just be abused.
