    1. Jabs
    2. Jabs
    3. Jabs
    4. Jabs
    5. In execute? Radiant or Jabs

CP allocation? Whatever works with jabs.

Sadly this honestly isnt a troll post either. its all jabs, as far as I have seen.

This seems like the best setup to me. For Magicka Templar:

    Blue
    Elemental Expert - 92
    Elfborn - 10
    Thaumaturge- 65

    Red
    Hardy - 30
    Elemental Defender - 97
    Quick Recovery- 40

    Green
    Magician - 100
    Arcanist - 67

    • Cost Reduction > Recovery. Channeled Focus also helps with sustain more by doing this.

    • Red CPs can be moved around. Healing Recieved is fantastic on Magicka Templar because of Jabs.

    • Remember that Elemental Expert and Thaumaturge increased the damage of your crits as well. Did some research to make sure and this is what I'd use personally.

    Hope this helps!

    in PvP?

    See target? Check
Target has at least 3 potatoes chasing him/her? Check
Are you at least 15m away from target? Check

Now for the most important and complicated damage rotation that combines leet theory crafting with mega optimized burst potential --> Step 1: Radiant destruction
    Step 2: Radiant destruction
    Step 3: Radiant destruction
Step 4: target should now be dead. Tea bag x 10
Step 5: Respond to hate tell with "Git gud scrub. L2P"
Step 6: Rinse and repeat. Now is a good time to mention you might want to make a macro for step 5.

All of Templar's dps abilities are DoTs, no?

therefore elemental expert and thaumaturge have equal value

I'm no expert, but I know its true for pvp templars and logic suggests its the same for pve templars

Not burning light, no. As a rule of thumb you should be putting more in EE than thaumaturge as you'll always have more damage that benefit from only EE than both.

For PVE DPS, you should be laying down your DOTs, so Elemental Blockade + Reflective Light + Blazing Shards + Ritual of Retribution, and then taking out close range mobs with Puncturing Sweeps, and ranged mobs with Crushing Shock (Dark Flare hits hard, but it has a channel).

Of course, then execute with Radiant Destruction (while keeping up DOTs)

see, this is where this gets confusing to me especially after being online and looking up up cp allocations etc that 1/2 the time its difficult to tell what patch version of the game their actually on about.

I was led to believe that puncturing sweeps was not a dot, hence i have 0 points in thaumaturge... which makes sense to me as even though it is chaneled it isnt a constant on 1 target. and if im attempting to do like vma and its my main go to skill then this sort of becomes important

does zos actually release a full and comprehensive list after every patch detailing exactly which abilities are affected by what cp talents? never seen anything like this in the patch notes.

for players like me who left the game when vet 12 was cap and had no champion system it is really hard to determine what is best upon returning... and very expensive redoing things all the time, let alone attempting to craft gear and up it to gold over multiple characters all now past cp 160 who were vet 1, vet 4 etc

whats worse is if you get a trait on your craft "wrong" and cant change it but dont find out till you dropped 50k on getting it gold. esp when super high dps min maxing seems required to complete content

developers need to realise that for a player like me who might be on for maybe 2-3 hours a night due to working etc it isnt easy getting thousands upon thousands of gold.... well, more like hundreds of thousands of gold to buy the things in this game that seem to almost be mandatory nowdays to be able to do it
