Black Screen Problem?

So I'm having this strange issue where most of my screen is black. You can see for yourself below. I can see the UI and other overlays, but the world itself is not visible. Other games aren't affected. Has anyone come across this problem before? The game was working fine yesterday. I haven't made any changes since yesterday. I've tried restarting my computer, checking for new video card drivers, repairing the game with the launcher, and disabling my addons. Nothing has worked. So I turn to you, my esteemed forumgoers (and mods) for assistance. Does anyone have any advice?

Hmm, Tuesday is Windows Update day, so perhaps Windows Update updated your video card drivers. So, try a Driver Rollback (look in the properties page for the video card from the Device Manager)

Checked again this morning. Still no luck. The fact that this occurred on the same day as the 15 bucks for ESO+ was taken from my account is just salt in the wound, lol.

Someone must have encountered this before. Googling revealed someone with a similar problem, but the solution didn't work for me.

I get this after the game has booted me and I'm trying to log back in - the character select screen will be black, then when I log in the world will be black, but only for a couple of seconds.

Does it happen in whatever version of the client you aren't using (since it defaulted to 64, I should mean 32 here)? If it doesn't, I guess that could be a workaround unless someone actually knows the issue. <.<

That is exactly what I'm experiencing. A black character screen, and darkness thereafter; but it doesn't happen after a boot, it just happens. I've tried both 32 and 64 bit.

If you have a spare graphics card, even an old one, it might be worth installing that and seeing if the problem persists. In any event, what are your system specs? Also, are you using Windows 10?

So I went nuclear and completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Didn't help :-/ That doesn't really give me much hope for solving this thing.

So I went super nuclear and did a clean install of Windows. Problem solved I guess!
