Frost clench question

I've been finding contradicting information on this topic so i'm looking for the truth. Does a player currently under CC immunity also have immunity to frost clench's root? And does frost clench's root trigger or renew CC immunity?

If CC immunity provides protection against frost clench's root, then what is the point of using a frost staff over a lightning staff in PvP since shock reach/clench stuns? Especially considering lightning attacks go through dodge rolls and deflection skills?
End the tedious inventory management game.

nope, u can always snare (frost clench) enemies. there is no cc immunity from frost clench (like the dk talons).

Frost Clench is a root, an immobilization.

Snares and Immobilizations cannot be purged or made immune to through the use of CC immunity.

Casting Purge, Cleansing Ritual, Shuffle, or dodge rolling will get someone out of a root which hasn't yet expired. That same root can be immediately reapplied though (unless it is Shuffle, which grants 0.5sec immunity per piece of Medium Armor worn).

Have fun actually snaring a player though. Theyll either cloak and jump on you, or just roll dodge toward you so you keep missing. PvP sure is fun.

There is no immunity vs roots and snares, unless you use mistform or momentum.
Ice staves are lethal to magicka nightblades and Sorcerer. templars are immune to frost magica basically and Dks can still reflect this spell and stamina will dodge roll out of it all the time without problems.

You can have some fun by dropping a scroll in the water or lava and perma root people in it from range >:)

Because it is reflectable and because of the popularity (and better itemization) of stamina builds, I'd not use it in PvP. Though, it works well with a pet build! But having so many stamina players ("infinite" roll dodge) and chars, who can reflect, makes it the less-well choice for PvP

I use it with my pet build. Pretty decent combo with the familiar stun.

Anyone that hits me with that just gets an ambush. Somehow they made ambush still work so you won't escape it. I'll still be in your face 100% of the time. Shock clench is the only one worth using. Plus it hits 3 people and heavies aoe them all as well if stacked close enough.
