Dark Brotherhood / Shadowy Supplier bugged?

Was excited to hear about the Monk Disguise as I have a couple characters with high bounty, and this disguise would make it possible to finally start certain important quests, like talking to the NPC in the Mages Guild who starts the crafting writ quest, some skill point quests where the questgiver is standing next to multiple guards, etc.

However, for the past week, I've been talking to the Shadowy Supplier and every time when I select the Monk Disguise option ("something to make me less noticeable"), instead he gives me potions, even though I didn't select the dialogue option for potions.

Is this some sort of bug? Do I need to do something else to unlock the Monk Disguise? Or if I select the "potions" dialogue option, does he give me the monk disguise instead?

It's random what he gives but rest assured the monk disguise does drop on the make me less noticeable option.

Every day I'm getting potions, even though I did not select the "potions or poisons" dialogue option.

Do I need to do some specific quest in DB first to unlock the Monk Disguise?

I got a monk disguise a few days ago. Actually, it was the first time I selected that option, since I usually ask for gear.

But I have to ask... just how much bounty do you have that it hasn't worn off after a week?

Did you happen to complete the entire questline first? I wonder if at first he only gives you potions until you complete the questline or something.

So far only did a few of the DB quests, just enough to unlock the Supplier, as the Monk Disguise was my primary reason for getting this DLC.

It's rare-ish, but I've got 3 of them total, and I rotate through the 3 options each day. One note: You can only have one Monk's Disguise, and I think only one of the containers. So once you have both, don't ask Remains-Silent for any more. I would much prefer if they stacked or just weren't unique.

OK, after receiving potions every day from "make me less noticeable" option, today I finally got something that was not a potion, at least - Counterfeit Pardon Edict.

This is what people normally get from this dialogue option, right (Counterfeit Pardon Edict or Monk Disguise)? I suspect there might have been some sort of bug causing me to receive potions before when I did not select the potions dialogue option.

I looked up what you get for selecting that on Google, and this thread is what popped up; so I select it thinking, "Alright! I didn't know about this Monk discuise thing!" And I get a box of potions you are not alone in the sadness of this bug

Shadowy Supplier issue report: if I select equipment, I see my current bow appear as received equipment. At first I was surprised to receive a gold bow of the same type as was currently equipped. Then I saw that no such thing occurred. That and it unequipped my box.

This was the first time I used the supplier after investing a skill point into that Dark Brotherhood skill. I hope to have better results in the future.

So not only did I receive nothing from the feature but it also degraded my character. At least the icon tipped me off that I needed to investigate my inventory status. Imagine not doing so and entering combat and, sorry, no weapon.

I'm really starting to feel like this is bugged, or there is some aspect of the feature that is not working or requires some other quest to unlock the Monk Disguise.

Every day I'm still getting the potions, even though I did not select the potions dialogue option. Out of 10 or 12 tries, one was the counterfeit pardon edict and the rest were potions.

Somehow the RNG seems unlikely to keep giving me the same potions over and over instead of the Monk Disguise, which was the main reason for acquiring this DLC.

Well, I didn't actually steal anything. Just killed a lot of NPCs.

Back when the Justice System PVP was first announced, a few friends and I racked up high bounties in order to play permanently on the side of the criminals and ganking guard players. Unfortunately it seems that was canceled, but my bounty on a couple characters is high enough that it would take a number of years to go away.

When I watched the ESO Live demonstration of the Monk Disguise, it seemed like something you can get easily once per day from the Shadowy Supplier, which would be a way to finally do some quests that are practically impossible due to guards if you have a bounty.

Is there supposed to be some kind of indication somewhere regarding what I "supposedly" received? I didn't see anything in my chat window. I have the lootdrop addon. I chose "equipment" and heard a sound, but I can't find anything in my inventory that wasn't already there. My weapons are still equipped. It's possible that I overlooked whatever was given to me, but there wasn't anything listed as "new" in my inventory either. This game seems to have a LOT of bugs recently. I spoke to Nevusa (Litany of Blood) or whatever the name is and she was speaking the wrong lines out of sync and even called me "sister", but I'm a male Khajiit!

I've been trying about every day since July 11. Still never received the Monk Disguise, which was the main reason for me to get the Dark Brotherhood DLC.

Really starting to believe this must be a bug, or there is some undisclosed mechanic that requires completing some other quest or rank in Dark Brotherhood before you can receive the Monk Disguise.

I am on PC NA

i have five characters now getting those dailies.
if they have monk's disguise i ask for potions for the alchemy ingredients. otherwise i ask for monk guise.
One character (first to get there) had three - one in inventory two in bags - you can carry as many bags as you want but only one disguise. i accidentally equipped one so now they have two.
Three others who got there more recently have monk disguises.
One, the most recent, still waiting for monk disguise.

So for me on pc na its not bugged and can occur but it is quite random.

Originally got some of the equip but there is so much sithis stuff dropping no need to anymore.

Perhaps the bolded part is the reasoning it is not dropping for you. This could also be the reason they removed it from being able to be banked. Maybe someone else with a bounty in the millions can confirm if they have or also have not gotten the Monk disguise.

Have/can you try on a character that has no bounty?

Wow, finally today got the Monk Disguise! I get a whole 5 minutes to try to start crafting writs and various other quests where guards are standing next to the quest giver.

Does this not seem like an abnormally low drop rate, where you have to keep trying for a month to get it?

Noticed you can't deposit in the bank, so it wouldn't be possible to farm it with other characters.
