New: Wands one handed weapons

Has anyone ever mentioned the idea of adding one hand weapons for magicka based classes? What about the idea of wands? Would be quite interesting and open up all kinds of new builds. But it would also open up room for even more unbalanced pvp. No telling if it would be positive or negative.

Thoughts anyone?

    Not necessarily would wands lead to unbalanced PvP. That would seem to depend upon how the associated spell strengths were relative to staffs.

    On a related note (weapons) I do not understand why two handed only count as one for item set purposes. That has always struck me as being unbalanced compared to equipping two, one-handed weapons and getting set bonuses; not to mention the extra enchantments and glyphs.

    The idea of wands has been discussed before but not sure we will see it.

    Wands been suggested roughly once per month since launch. So far the devs have not warmed up to the idea. Besides, wands are not really a part of the Elder Scroll franchise.

    As for why two handed count for only one item bonus - the usual spiel is that it's the price you pay for ranged attacks. As for two handed - well... it has hands down the best skill tree for weapons in the game, and does more damage than one handers.

    Making them count as 2 pieces of gear has been also suggested many times. If it became a reality, everyone would stop using 1 handers, since it's a lot cheaper to just upgrade 1 weapon to gold, or to just construct 1 cp 160 weapon. So there are actually good reasons why they have that gear limit handicap. Do the cons balance the pros? Well that is debatable, but the logic behind, why things are the way they are, is sound.

    edit - almost forgot, if two handers counted for two item bonuses, then farming them would be much more preferable than trying to farm 2 separate weapons. So there is that thing too to consider.

    It's been mentioned but the thought makes me suffer ever time. This isn't Harry Potter. Would much prefer magicka daggers or chakrams.

    Giving magicka users one extra slot that scales its base abilities off spell damage and magicka would be nice.
