If I "ignore" (click the button on their profile) will they see what I post? Or does it just hide their responses?

    Their comments will be collapsed. You can click on them to read them. You will see any discussions they make. They can see whatever you do.

    It means you won't see their posts accidentally... unless someone else quotes what they typed. :p
