Ok I could probably considered to be a fanboi...........

I play on PC-EU and in general suffer no problems.

BUT!!

Until recently I didn't really PVP.

I started my PVP experience in Blackwater Blade and tbh my first thought was lag? what lag?

Big battles no problem, infact really good fun..........

Then I decided to take my main into PVP, the campaign was Trueflame..........

Suddenly I understood all the angst, my ping that had never really gone above 150-200 was constantly hitting 900+ ....

It was literally unplayable, I tried and kept trying. I wasn't aiming for Emp, I was just wanting to play...........

My PC is not bad, my internet is top notch..........

I was previously quite dismissive of the issues that PVP-ers were having, not anymore, this stinks||
When people say to me........

The 7 day Haderus campaign is relatively lag free, but most players are only interested in the 30-day.

If we had two 30-day campaigns (both with Champion Points), I wonder if this might alleviate the lag on Trueflame a bit.

Well.. Trueflame is the main campaign with locked populations and a ton of guild groups. Lag is always there from late afternoon till late into the night.
I guess you can try Azuras if you don't mind playing with no CPs. It's actually fun and the lag is usually not that bad.
The other possibility is Ebony Blade, though that one is dominated by DC as far as I know and may be boring sometimes. And it's laggy as well.

Except for BWB every campaign with a decent population lags. Get used to it.

We need more of these threads, no sarcasm intended. Trueflame EU is mostly unplayable between the hours of 12pm-2am. Ebony Blade is better, also the Imperial City in Trueflame is a lag-free place to pvp but you need to be comfortable on your own or take some friends to have fun. What faction are you?

Good for you that you finally know what people are talking about.
Bad for you that you have to experience it in the first place.

Spell Breaker is a buff campaign btw, there is not much PvP going on there usually.

I am DC through and through........

I have one AD character that I made to use Cyrodiil treasure maps for Motif's but it made me very uncomfortable........

    Sad but true :)

    Thing is......

I have 3 characters that are BWB level, by choice, they have been built to do non vet PVP and I love them.........

    However........

That extra power that your max level characters have is a heady pull in max level PVP, I am on the way to being seriously addicted..........

My youngest son(20yrs) thinks it is absolutely hilarious that Mum is getting into PVP but he's also quite worried I am going to beat the crap out of him!! >:)

yes, PVPers pretty often complain here on the forums about huge lags in PVP. I mostly play PVE, but lately I tried a bit of PVP few times and I had no problems with lags at all, even when many people were fighting in the same area....
and it was at around 9:00 pm (prime time), I am on PC EU, I don`t which campaign It was anymore...

so sometimes it lags, sometimes not...

On PC I get frozen for several seconds in fights, I am actually very good at PVP apparently, especially as a crown/strategist, but this lag is absolutely garbage.

I really wish I got into this games PVP during launch when it was lag-free.

take it from someone who was there - it was far far from lag free.

Lag can never be completely cured, unless you gave everyone in the world the exact same kind of connection.
A game server always have to compensate for the lowest dominator.
so if someone whit a *** connection connects it has to adjust itself and that will slow it down for everyone else as it can not redistribute the data from that user faster than what it can receive.
