"Multiboxing is NOT allowed in The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited in any of its forms, whether software- or hardware-based. Any accounts found to be multiboxing will be considered in violation of our Terms of Service and actioned swiftly and decisively, up to the permanent deactivation of the account along with any other associated accounts. To be clear, players are welcome to have multiple accounts. However, using hardware or software to play them all at the same time is not allowed on any ESO service.
Multiboxing is the practice of playing multiple accounts simultaneously, including, but not limited to using either hardware or software to facilitate the coordination between the accounts. This violates the intended nature of the gameplay mechanics we've created for ESO."

So say I have 2 accounts. I have them both up so that I can roleplay both my character and the villain character I have created for a plotline. No hardware or software to play them both, all they are doing is speaking and some emotes. It seems pretty clear this is okay but...I'd like to be sure. @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ???

Edit: Just read it.
Last night I saw a group of people huddled together whilst another went around farming. They had reasonable names though. If they're there tonight shall I report?

isnt this power levelling?? you group up with a higher level, they do all the work and you just sit there and make sure you change out your skills once they get to max level. as far as I know that is the fastest way to level and it isnt cheating.

ZOS legal department is probably scrambling right now to change the wording in the TOS to target these guys.
The difference is a bunch of different players grinding and farming mats is allowed, while one player simultaneously farming with 3-4 characters using an external program is cheating and although probably very efficient it's against tos and ruins the game and economy for others,neville_bart0s wrote: »Edit: Just read it.

That's why I'm confused. They were all grouped up in the centre like in the screenshots above though. It's really difficult to tell

I've never heard of multi-boxing before today but if someone wants to spend the money on multiple copies/platforms to play with themselves then I say let them. One person won't ruin anything and I doubt more then a handful are even bothering to do this.

For money. Not sure about eso gold for cash market but in some MMOs you can make a good amount of money selling in game currency.
Edit: Sorry just saw you already answered.
