Sad to see that this is happening. Pretty sure those Gold sellers are behind this. The names of their PSN ID & character names are a bunch of random letters.

The group members are strategically placed in the middle of the kill area so all of them get the loot drops. They're trying to ruin the Dreugh Wax prices. =/

Report them all! Hopefully something will happen.

Surprises me that PvP performance suffers enormous lag, and population caps in campaigns are much smaller than they used to be, all due to the anti-bot code.

Yet... the anti-bot code didn't even kill the problem. Let's hope they don't return so easily after going away. I used to see them about 2 months after ESO launched on PS4 as well.

"Multiboxing is NOT allowed in The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited in any of its forms, whether software- or hardware-based. Any accounts found to be multiboxing will be considered in violation of our Terms of Service and actioned swiftly and decisively, up to the permanent deactivation of the account along with any other associated accounts. To be clear, players are welcome to have multiple accounts. However, using hardware or software to play them all at the same time is not allowed on any ESO service.

Multiboxing is the practice of playing multiple accounts simultaneously, including, but not limited to using either hardware or software to facilitate the coordination between the accounts. This violates the intended nature of the gameplay mechanics we've created for ESO."

So say I have 2 accounts. I have them both up so that I can roleplay both my character and the villain character I have created for a plotline. No hardware or software to play them both, all they are doing is speaking and some emotes. It seems pretty clear this is okay but...I'd like to be sure. @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ???

Based on the wording I'd think it means you shouldn't be able to press a button and have all the characters take an action, but idk. I wouldn't risk it until I got official confirmation. Then again, the players shown are all just sitting around, clearly not taking action, yet it got a community manager response, so maybe even this is in violation!

If they are selling gold it is staggering the amounts of real money people spend. I've never sold gold on TESO but did sell coins on Madden Mobile for about 6 months. Pulled in over $10k profits... Had several rich kids buy over $400 in real money for coins in 1 day

Oddly enough, it does not appear to be against the ToS to be logged into the game from multiple accounts simultaneously. However, it is against the ToS to use hardware or software that would coordinate actions on multiple accounts, play or control accounts while you are not at the keyboard, or to let someone else use one or more of the accounts. As long as you keep away from that, you can at least argue your ban.

isnt this power levelling?? you group up with a higher level, they do all the work and you just sit there and make sure you change out your skills once they get to max level. as far as I know that is the fastest way to level and it isnt cheating.

The difference is a bunch of different players grinding and farming mats is allowed, while one player simultaneously farming with 3-4 characters using an external program is cheating and although probably very efficient it's against tos and ruins the game and economy for others,

I understand that, but it's difficult to tell what these guys were doing. It looked like multiboxing but could've been farming. One player was running around as a bunch of others huddled in the centre. It's not easy to decipher what was happening.

I've never heard of multi-boxing before today but if someone wants to spend the money on multiple copies/platforms to play with themselves then I say let them. One person won't ruin anything and I doubt more then a handful are even bothering to do this.

Well it's definitely against the ToS to do... something related to multiple accounts. The problem we're running into is what constitutes "multiboxing" since the ToS don't make it clear enough. For instance, if you own multiple accounts then you can be logged into all of them at the same time on the same computer. That's not using an external program or hardware or anything, that's just built right into the game, you just click "Play" on the launcher more than once and log into all of your accounts. But you can't control each character, you have to tab into each session and control them separately while the others stand around. Now, even that might be against ToS, as evidenced by this thread, so you probably shouldn't do it unless you get confirmation via ZOS that it's OK. But traditional multiboxing is definitely out of the question, as it is a third-party program or hardware setup that lets you control all those character simultaneously. Very obviously against ToS.

simple answer to this is to report it to psn and they will look in to the meta data and if found multi boxing they will take action, i know this because it is what is done on xbox live. here's how to do it on psn
    PlayStation 4

    Messages

Select [Messages] and highlight the text, audio, or picture message that you’d like to report and press (X button).
Press [Options] on your controller. A menu will appear on the right side of your screen.
    Select [Report].
Read the guidelines for submitting a report and select [OK].
Select a reason for the report and select [Submit].
