Is there any universally accepted "duelling spots"?

Although I do enjoy open-world Cyrodiil, sometimes I feel like I want to just 1v1 random people, and while I do sometimes find spots to duel, it's pretty rare - zergs are ruling PVP.

So can any PVP vets recommend any well-known duel only spots or are they not existent?

Also is the rumour of a duelling arena true? Or has it been confirmed or shot down entirely?

If you wish to 1v1 you'll need to set it up in advance with someone. The odds of finding someone on their own in Cyrodiil are not very good. As for small-scale PvP yes it is still coming.

Sometimes you'll find people to engage just outside of keeps. There was a duel spot close to Sejanus on Skull of Corruption this weekend where reds and yellows where just hanging out. The guy I was partying with had a bunch of fun dueling while I watched. Had a mini zerg of blues come up to attack us, we all engaged them at once without killing the other faction. That was pretty cool to see.

No, however, you can keep an eye out for forwards camps out in the wilderness, you'll sometimes find duels there

A lot of people are fond of duelling right between major keeps on the front line, and they have the gall to complain when you break it up.

Can't please everybody.

The best duelling spot is the one nobody else knows about.

Which is why it's best to plan this stuff instead of try to find random encounters with others in secluded areas. Secluded areas that are out of the way are the best places but the odds of happening upon someone in them are slim to none.

During the midnight hours here on Xbox NA I've found several times players from all three factions grouping up in the Imperial City Arena district for duels. Though I kept getting the feeling they were part of the same Guild, or at least were strict on who they accepted into their little parties considering whenever I or another random player were spotted we were ganked on the spot.

Plenty of spots i use that usually have duels happening late at night. The spot south of bruma where 3 roads converge, the river that runs southwards from castle alessia follow that down to the middle bridge and just further down to the third bridge and to the left. Always duelling happening. Im on xbox eu.

Best bet is to just join a dueling guild and they'll put in guild chat when duels are up and the location. If interested Mythical Playground or Colosseum are the EU dueling guilds on PC

This is the worst....

Happens a lot when you ride up on what you think is a fight so you stop to help out... Your own faction stops fighting and watches you get steam rolled.

Was PVPing the other day, and someone was telling a story about how he was 1v1ing a skilled player, and then someone came to try to kill him, so he 2-shot the guy and continued dueling.

teamorange at its finnest ,boosting and joiningtogether for zerg kill. yep sounds fun .

i suggest an empty server but mosst duellers like a big audience ,.
1v1 battle arena,s with rewards and leadersboards and all have been suggested but ignored by devs with the infamous no eta.

I have seen this too and not just in Skull (ps4/NA). The bridge between Allessia and Sejanus seems to be a pretty widely accepted dueling area

Imo, if you are duelling next to a keep ur fair game. If you're well out the way and people interuppt then they are just @#$%÷

Am not so sure anymore with the change to IC I haven't seen to many people dueling their anymore.

Except, we were hanging out several meters away from Sejanus off the beaten path and a blue mini zerg tried to cash in on the parade. Especially, considering they had no keeps close enough to warrant their location on the map, clearly we were ratted out. I'd say the tag teaming was justified.

Gotta be careful there though, cause its super easy for red and yellow to fist fight like drunken nords on that bridge.

Before DB, on PS4 EU Scourge campaign maybe, IC's Arena District used to be the perfect pvp spot: if you wanted to, you could join a mindless XvX fight between DC and EP respawning points, or join a duel fight club just outside the arena entrance.

That spot usually used to be filled with Alpha nerds Pro-elitist altoholic that wouldn't let you just watch the duels, but there were times in which you could enjoy them.

With the new spawning system in IC, it's all gone.

Only acceptable place to duel is WAY on the outskirts of Cyrodill. I mean, side of a mountain nowhere near anyone far. If you're anywhere near any keep you deserve what you get. If you're on the arena doorsteps you deserve what you get.

Seriously, these are two of the most high traffic areas in the whole of Cyrodiil. Keeps are self explanatory, and the arena doorstep is the gateway into a world boss that drops motifs.

If you're dueling in places like this you're the problem, not the people who are playing the game as intended.

Every now and then after farming sewers for trophies(and dumping my TV stones) id stop in and see them dueling after visiting the trophy rooms just to get myself killed so I can go back to grinding. But now with the capturing arenas thing idk if they are there anymore.

And every time I saw them I'd dive bomb them with an ice comet and yell to move it somewhere else.

I've seen this way too much. People dueling right outside the keep, and I go over trying to help out somebody who's being attacked... and then I'm getting hate tells left and right for ruining their duel. If people are fighting 1v1 in the middle of nowhere I tend to assume it's a duel, but if you're right next to keep or just outside a resource I have to assume somebody was trying to take it over and the person is stopping them.

I have, and make it a point to drop in and say hi whenever I'm in the neighborhood. And by say hi I mean kill as many as I can before they figure out what's going on.
