Few questions regarding higher gear

Hey. I'm only CP 180 and I'm mainly using Nightmothers with few others. I'm 80% PVE play style but have some Tel Var stones. Do I save those up until I'm CP501 for the better equipment stats?. From other MMOs I play you get the best gear from Raids and PVP. Do I just do dungeons and PVP?. Do I just craft the gear instead?.

But mainly, do I use my stones now or wait?

The current gear cap is CP160, you can spend up to 501 CP currently but with the next DLC we'll be allowed to spend another 30 CP but the gear cap seems to be staying 160. I'm not really sure what you're asking about the Telvar stones, or how they relate to gear unless you just want sets you can buy with them.

Ok yeah. I was just seeing if I would get better stats on the gear if my CP were at 501. You said it caps at 160 so now i guess it doesn't matter when I buy them

As others have said the gear cap is CP160 ... so you now have access to an ever-widening array of end game gear.

So, do some theorycrafting with your current amount of CP. If Tel Var gear accomplishes what you want your character to be, then purchase it ... you'll have it for a long time until ZOS decides to raise the gear cap to CP180.

There are some very good PvP sets already ... with a lot more CP160 sets coming in the town capture merchant for Update 11 (August 1).

All that said, there are a lot of good PvE and crafted sets, too. If you can share your character with us in the forums ... we can probably give some ideas of where to go (though working on your build is one of the funnest parts of the game, IMO).

    4 piece Hunding's Rage
    3 piece Sithis
4 Piece NightMothers (don't need 5 because of Surprise Attack spell
    4 pieces have Divines. Axe+Dagger both have 2.5 wep/crit values (Flame/Shock)
    All pieces are blue level.

    Any feedback would be helpful.

I mainly play Solo so I believe it has good DPS and some defense. In dungeons (with friends), I'll replace some spells and put Caltrops and maybe Steel Tornado, but as of now solo this is what it will most likely be.

(Unbuffed) but I do use Orzaoga's Tripe Trifle (Max HP 5000, Stam regen 457). All my friend can make so far.
