Crown Store Holiday

ZOS_GinaBruno, I have a question that a lot of people have asked. Is it possible in the future to have a week long or so holiday for the Crown Store with discontinued items? More then once I have begged for the Black Smith costume to be added back, and there are a number of threads asking for old items, pets, and mounts to be added back. With costume dyeing being added, we may want to give people a chance to get a hold of items that were missed.

Yes to this, there are quite a few items I missed out on. And some I just regretted not buying like the clouded senche leopard. Oh and I want the Bantam Guar! So cute!

Not a day goes by where I dont regret not buying the Black Camel of Ill Omen, but let's be fair, these items were advertised as one time exclusives and I really think they should stay that way.

Where's the fun in owning a rare asset if it keeps getting added back to the store?

No item was advertised as 'one time exclusive'. They were the limited time offers which means that they are available only for a limited amount of time, not all the time like 'standard' items. But it just doesn't mean that such items cannot be made available once again, for another limited amount of time.

Btw I'm waiting for the Frostmare mount... it's a pity that it wasn't reintroduced on its 'anniversary', at the beginning of July. It would be a perfect occasion for that.

They should at least do that for costumes now that they are letting us dye them. I imagine that many people didn't buy costumes that were later removed because they didn't like the color scheme.

I didn't buy it because I thought the texture was awful, except I forgot that my computer sucks and everything looks crappy on minimum settings.

Along with the blacksmith costume I asked for in the OP, I would also love a chance at the Mind-Shiven and Zombie horse.

Also another mmo has found a nice revenue stream by addind old holiday items to their cash shop a year after the original event.

A lot of discontinued items were never advertised as limited time (not one time!) exclusives, they were regular items removed to "make room for new stock", which is just another way of pressuring us to buy them because a digital store doesn't run out of shelves. There's no reason why they couldn't be rotated back after a while.

There are various things I missed out on, too - costumes that look better now that dyeing is a thing and mounts I hadn't gotten paid in time enough to purchase.

Every year for the anniversary, I don't know why they don't take a month to just release all of the old items; it can come in waves, with each wave lasting X number of days. This way they make more money (I'm even willing to suggest they hike the price to perpetuate these items' rarity) and people can pick up things they regret missing. Win/Win for everyone.

The ability to dye armor will certainly change what I buy. I think a price hike on previously released things would be fair if they were going to offer them again. That would give a reason to buy them on their limited initial release and not totally peeve off people who did originally buy them.

Then again, I might sell my first born for a frost mare. I may be biased...

At the very least, mundane discontinued items like the Helstrom Ancestor Lizard and the Blacksmith outfit (two examples pulled out of thin air) should either be rotated back in or come back for a sale. Silly that those would never come back again.

While I would *like* for limited-time items to come back as well (like items that came and went before I bought the game...), I can see why people would be upset if they did, because their rare thing would be slightly less rare. But, I've said before I'd really like there to be a community pick, if you will. Like, you vote in-game on what limited item you want to come back to the crown store for a weekend, and 1-3 winners come back for the weekend. People are happy, limited items are still limited, ZOS makes a ton of money, everyone wins!

So basically, "definitely yes on regular stock, I'd personally like it on limited stock too but I could settle for a special community-vote type thinger".

I agree with you upon reading. Stuff that was listed as limited, I can see them never coming back. But stuff that just poofed... I need the Blacksmith outfit!

I agree, I think "limited time" items should make periodic returns in some form. Seems like a waste otherwise.
