So, after my first few runs of VSO HM I though great, ZOS has listened, this is a piece of content where we can actually get the gear in a reasonable amount of time. One bound jewelry peice of run and only 3 sets it could be from. Even better, based on what others got it looked like drop rates were more or less equal on the three sets all of which are good by the way. Vicious is best in slot for all stam PVE, Infallible is best for many mag dps though not all and has a great group buff, and Eternal is one of many possible best tank sets depending on a lot of build specific factors.
Many runs later I have come to suspect that "the D" was in fact hidden in that first impression. I have 9 Vicious with more than 2 complete sets, a complete set of eternal, and 1 single peice of infallible. Surprise surprise, the stam DPS friends I have seem to all have the opposite problem.
I would like a real genuine and honest answer to the age old question of whether or not drops in ESO are effected by account, build, or builds of the player getting them. I might add that in most games they are.... Need or greed systems exist so that players actually get what they want. ESO seems to me to be covertly doing the opposite and I would like a bloody definitive answer as it totally makes sense to me that I should have to run completely different builds than what I best run in some of the most difficult content in the game to get the gear that I need to run that most difficult content in the game better.
This is my RNG rage post for the day.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.
