You could always sub and get everything included together with some crowns to spend, but I guess you'd only be interested in a sub if it was on special offer.

Of course the community attacks him for asking for a bundle of the current DLCs instead of buying each one individually.

Most people don't realize the wealth gap between most humans and the few billion who are wealthy enough to afford anything realistic. Not saying OP is from a poor country or is just poor, just saying people's inherit view on this subject is diluted with the perspective of a wealthy person who can afford to buy everything off the store.

I don't understand why this is a surprise to you. Zenimax Online hasn't done bundles before, but that's probably because it's only very recently they've had anything to put into a bundle. Unless you expected to see the game + some random crown store items?

Bethesda and Zenimax Media (the parent company) definitely have done bundles before. Including one that had every previous Elder Scrolls game all in one. I can't remember if that included the expansions but I assume so. I think they've done a bundle for every individual game as well.

I don't have any of the DLC yet either, but it doesn't bother me that it's coming out as a bundle. I've had plenty of time to get it if I wanted to, and plenty of time to play the base game that I wouldn't have had if I'd waited for a bundle. Besides, buying them separately is not much more expensive than this pack.

I've got a pretty good idea. Honestly though, the best solution is still to simply subscribe if you're going to play. You basically get your money back as play money on the spot, and get access to the DLC for the month.

And yes, I know, Crowns aren't exactly 100 to the dollar, if you buy in bulk they're 137 to the dollar. Still, it's roughly what you're putting in paid back on the spot.

sub, after 3 months i payed the same amount as a gold edition (yet i still need to do an upkeep?). no thanks.

But with the gold edition you get a new account - what means 8 empty slots with no characters in them - while with ESO+ on your current account you have all your characters and all what you have collected and achieved available still. Gold edition is not expensive, true, but it comes basically empty - with the DLCs, but all else you would have to achieve and acquire newly.

Just think about that with a new account it will take you again half a year to get your mount maxed out for example.

When I heard about the Gold Edition, I was hoping that they would also announce an upgrade path for those of us with just the base game. (Kind of like how, if you bought the standard edition ESO, you could buy an upgrade to the Imperial edition.) Glad to hear this is happening. :)

I bought the early access imperial edition for 90euro and i was paying all this time my monthly sub (27monthsX13euro).
I cancel my sud last month because the game is BROKEN and i dont find it smart to pay for a broken game!.... But i have no access to dcl's anymore.
In a few months someone will be able to pay 60$ and play the game plus all dlc's.....Fair?

It appears as though the majority of the community is oblivious towards the fact that there is something called 'ESO PLUS.'

Now, ESO Plus offers a decent amount of nifty bonuses to gold, exp, etc.
It also unlocks ALL OF THE DLC as long as ESO Plus is active on your account.
And ultimately, you receive 1500 Crowns for every month of ESO Plus.

The total value of all DLC available in Crowns is currently 9.000 I believe.
9.000 / 1500 = 6. In other words; you would be able to buy all of the DLC after 6 months of maintaining an ESO Plus subscription.

FYI: The price for 1500 Crowns is 12.99; the same cost as the subscription for a single month.

the thing is guys, the more time that passes in life, the more DLC content this game will have, thus the price will continue to sky rocket for me compared to a new player... i re-read my first post and i noticed the ending may of been a tad confusing.. my first time every playing the game, the first time i ever bought this game was about 2 weeks after the coin sale ended. so i came into the game at a time knowing this company does sales. so i decided to just play the base game (its a ton of content) i've only done maybe 1/3rd the base games content to this day. so i never decided to get any DLC yet, because i figured they would do in-game sales after doing it for the coins (though it was rare, it was something that just happened and at a time i just joined the game... )

so i waited and waited, and im still waiting... yet new players get the bonus, but when i was a new player i was spit on it felt like.. thus, why i feel like im being spit on a 2nd time

but apparently someone in my thread said that a devoloper said on a live stream bundles for DLC will be coming soon to the crown store? if that is true, thats good

@bullzofsteel Most people on the forums are ESO+ subs and/or are very touchy when you bring anything like this up. Not the place to get people to side with you. Kinda unfortunate but these forums are the wrong place to bring up anything on this topic. Even stuff like ESO+ perks being unreasonable and not at all sitting well with the in-game community will set them off! Just a friendly recommendation to drop it man :disappointed:

That who aren't "wealthy enough to afford anything realistic" are not the type that can afford to buy a PC or console to play the game, let alone the game itself.

Realistically, if you can afford any significant time to play the game, you can afford the 50¢ per day the subscription costs.

No matter when they make a bundle, sale, special offer or anything of the likes, there will always be someone who got the thing offered just before it was announced. There is no way around it. It is not a slap on your face or on anyone's face for that matter.

If you cant see that you must have not really played past vet 1 before!

Buying the DLC's at all can be a rip-off, you can sub and play through them all in less than a month.
The only content you are missing is IC and Maw, which still leaves 80% of the end game content.

    Cheers!

Older games always drop the price with time... Would you be upset that a game that you got for $60 at release costs $20 2 years later? No. That's just how the industry works.

You also mentioned that you keep leaving the game and keep coming back. Then the easiest way to get your money worth is to sib for one month, play through all dlcs, and resub whenever you decide you wanna go through them again.

A lot of people find the system reasonable. Moreover, you are exactly the type of customer (playing for some time, then leaving till new dlc release) that Matt Firor was talking about. The new DLC sizes and payment options are there for you to take full advantage ($13 a month instead of buying all dlcs)

Ulville Thonvella - aspiring Fire Mage, be careful around her fire sticks!
Dromedaris - lost and not found. Named after a shoe, what else can you expect from her? A proper tank in her wildest dreams
Swims-Naked - too pretty to grind, too silly to quest.
Sun Flair - Dunmer Templar that can't spell for life. To bad she's too broke to afford a name change... Well, at least she's pretty...

$80 to buy the last 4 DLC. No extra crowns.

$150 a year for ESO plus and you get 18000 crowns included.

    $150 minus $80 = $70.

    18000 crowns cost about $120.

$120 + $80 =$200 ..... ESO plus is cheaper , unless you plan to "never" buy crowns.

Doesn't only happen on Christmas, though. I'm surprised there were no Summer Sale tbf. They had one for Thanksgiving last year I think? Or something. I've seen in 3 times and I've been here for 10 months :) Just bad timing. It's like when you buy a game on Steam. Two weeks after it's 50% off. Bad timing, really. But it's life.

Sometimes you don't make the green light when driving a car, either. Slows you down by 3-5 minutes. :> Same thing. And yeah, the Gold Edition seems to be as it is meant for new players. A way of making people start the game :) It doesn't seem to me like it's made for those that's playing the game already.

And honestly; Subbing for 6 or 3 months to ESO is not that expensive. Maybe 1-2 days work and you got it. YOu just gotta work for what you want. Plan ahead. If you earn your own money, plan it. Save it. Spend it. I bought 2 DLCs before I subbed. Probably a waste of money, but I ain't whining about a refund. But at the time when the DLCs came out, I didnt have the chance to subscribe :)

    Just bad timing.
