Don't know what I've done or clicked to suddenly make this an issue as it's never happened before. Is it anything to do with today's Xbox EU maintenance?

They are also not anybody on mine or my friend's Xbox Live's Friend List, and they are not even in the same alliance as us so we can't join them to play anyway. It's bloody strange and weird and has never happened before in the whole year plus some that we've been playing the game together.

My issue last night was not random people joining us for dungeons, it was more that we weren't being put in any dungeons instantly like we were previously and prior to the maintenance yesterday, and instead were lumbered with random people who weren't even in the same alliance. I wasn't aware that playing with other alliances was even a thing yet so it confused me.

That's because you turned on the group finder. That is designed to drag in other people at random.
In fact, you're part of the problem with the group finder that you'll see coming up on these forums repeatedly: People waiting around for a group, only to finally get one, and be instantly kicked without explanation.

Okay then, so it was something I did. That's all I wanted to know thank you although I did say it was probably something I'd done and not noticed or realised. Is the group finder separate or the same as the activity finder on the Xbox One? I don't dungeon a lot or be the group leader when I'm dungeon delving with my friend so that's why I'm not as familiar with the lobby/group mechanics and had issues with it.
