Before I begin, I'd like to say I hope that people on the forum will be respectful and appreciate where I'm coming from.

Yesterday I had one of "bad days" health-wise. I managed about 5 minutes of gaming before I had to come off again. My legs stopped working and everything in my body felt like it was shutting down. My heart didn't enjoy me trying to move, nor did my muscles.

Today, however, I had a better day health-wise (although no feeling brilliant still so apologies for any mistakes)! So I immediately jump onto the one thing that keeps me entertained, happy and really the only thing I can do. ESO. I enjoy(ed) PvP for the last few weeks because I had finished all I could in PvE and it wasn't challenging enough anymore.

I put my PS4 and took my painkillers ready to begin. There's one of our keeps trying to be taken from the enemy team - great! I'll head there! - but when I get there I find a small team of people waiting underneath our walls and keeps waiting to use us to jump up and take over. Yes, I'm talking about exploiters.

I took six screenshots and recorded a short video in one short session, roughly lasting 10 minutes. There's not much we could have done to fight these people as lot of them used stealth and even the teleport strike (which was supposed to have been fixed yesterday).

This completely ruined my day. "Why?" you ask, "It's just a game!" - yeah it is. One I enjoy and is the only thing I can enjoy right now.

I reported these people (so if you were on PS4 EU and fighting for AD using exploiits - you've been reported) and I will probably use my youtube channel to show the video clips I've been saving. We can't name and shame here but those rules don't apply on my website.

I've stopped playing now, after 10 minutes. 10 minutes of something that made me happy. Now I'm unhappy. I'm unhappy because I can't enjoy something in which other people ruin for others.

I also want to touch upon the Crown Store cost of things lately. 1000 crowns for one outfit is quite steep and is starting to become the norm. Why? I don't expect people to pay more for less and I don't imagine they are, so that baffles me. You used to be able to get 3 costumes for 700 crowns.

This almost makes me convinced the Player Housing will be paid for by renting a property, not a flat out purchase. With crowns.

Lastly, I wish I had closer friends on ESO. I know so many of you but know little about you all. I wish our community could be more than it is.

Anyway, that's everything I wanted to say.

I get it - most leisure activities are 'just ......' but if you are serious about your hobbies it sucks when people don't play by the rules and makes it less fun. I find myself playing less than I did because of the same issues in PvP BUT from threads today it seems like they have banned some people using those exploits so maybe your video will get some attention and PvP will start being fun again...

I'm sorry to read about your rough day. ESO is a great escape and it sucks when it's just not going your way...either off play-day, getting wrecked mercilessly, exploiters, crashes. I feel you. Hopefully they can fix the keep exploit issue soon because it is super annoying.

Maybe do some achievement hunting if you've not finished them up?

I do hope things turn around for you soon.

The reason (IMO) that we're starting to see more single costumes for 1000 crowns is simply because it has been shown that people will pay 1000 crowns for a costume, and it is a good source of revenue for the company. When the price gets too high and the revenue from those purchases sharply declines the price will go back down.

Was a thread in General that got locked earlier this morning talking about players getting banned for the exploit you described. No idea about the validity of that thread, but I found it interesting and slightly amusing how people came out of the woodwork to justify the use if the exploit.

Hope you are feeling better. Good vibes being sent your way!

Hey @Cazzy I'm sorry that you are feeling so low. I'm glad you shot a video (I play on PC and don't know how to do that), but I'm even sorrier to hear that you are not on PC NA, I was kind of hoping to cross paths with you in game.

As for crown costs... I'm still really really happy that among all the various overpriced items, none of them are pay to win.

On a lighter note, I wanted to share a happy moment with "Dave" (so called because my sorc Hisa Ni Caemaire cannot pronounce his real name). Who says Daedroth don't have a sense of humor:

I got ganked more than a few times while fishing in PVP. I don't think there's anything particularly relaxing about the entire zone. IC can be suspenseful like a good thriller novel, but Cyrodiil is kind of like reading Facebook comments on a divisive issue.

Glad to see ZOS on the ball! I know what was posted earlier to instigate this [mod] comment and found it unnecessary. Though I find most on here courteous and respectful I do sometimes agree that our community could, indeed, be 'more than it is'.

As to others spoiling our entertainment by cheating, exploiting or such; sadly there is little we as players can do other than report the offenders and hope they get their comeuppance, petition those responsible for the game to take action to prevent cheating or exploiting and hope for better things in the future.

Hope you have many more better than worse days ahead!

    Kindest regards.

I'm all for people using others who decide to rain hell down on them to jump on a keep since it doesn't give the same gameplay where you or me just sit back in a keep hitting players while they try to siege the wall that my alliance may keep repairing in order to stay above the un-repairable threshold.

I feel this is fun doing it on both sides and I'll come out and say it I did the same thing at a outpost I was at the bottom and leaped on top where a zerg awaited just as if I were stopping by to say hello; I'd get maybe 1 kill, 2 if I'm lucky then drop down and die or be extremely close to dying. The zerg would be virtually un-affected because by the time I fell down they'd res the players who may have died or healed those who were getting hit so they wouldn't die.

I'm against players who use NPCs to jump from the outside to the outer wall then use the npcs in that inner area to jump into the keep while it's not bursted. If the outer wall is down and they're working on the inner then I think it's fair game at that point but only if it's defended.

Sorry for your rough times. I get where you're coming from with ESO being that 1 last tranquil place to call home and relax without life's issues pressing on you.

Not one of us can say itll get better, the pvp exploits that is. It's a bummer and has ruined my experience on more than one occasion. I main a templar but I'd never try to exploit to gain the edge.

Sometimes I wish that costumes and other crown store stuff would not be bound or that there would be a way to donate a crown store item or ESO+ membership to others as a gift. I would certainly use that to give those friends, who cannot afford a subscription, a chance to experience the game in full. Same with costumes, if I would know, that a friend would really want it and it would make him/her really happy, but it is just not reasonable for him/her to buy it, because he/she lives in a country with a bad conversion rate to Dollars/Euros.

Especially providing ESO+ membership as a gift would be great - he/she would get full game access and crowns to buy what he/she desires. It would be a really nice move from ZOS, if they would make this possible.

Yes, I feel your disappointment. I am a professional chef in RL, and my play time has been off this last month. I love PvP, and have missed the mandatory PvP nights with my guild for several weeks. I have read about the cheating and exploits, but until Wed night in Trueflame (NA/PC), I haven't seen it...
OMG! Between the 4fps and 2k+ ping, the "Cheaters" made the whole night unplayable and thoroughly unenjoyable! 18 of our 24 group just gave up in disgust after a hour or so of this mess. I love ESO and have defended Zos since 2014 launch, but this "fanboy" is totally disappointed and finally have joined the *"FIX PvP and CHEATERS"* bandwagon.
@cazzy, please link your YouTube channel as I would love to see your vid. Blessing of the 7 to you!

I hate when people say it's just a game! I've been here since 5 day early access on PC. I have over 100 days /played on my main character. I met my boyfriend who's proposing to me soon in this game. I met my best friends in this game. I have had people talk me out of suicide attempts in this game. The game itself is so much fun, yes. But if you took it away from me I'd be in a much worse place because I wouldn't have all the people I met in it. These people helped me grow as a person. The connections I've made in this game are what's important. The pretty pixels on the screen are just a vehicle for it. Yes, it may only be a game, but the people in it are very real.

I can tell this game is important to you. It provides a little relief from your illness and pain. Don't let people say it's just a game. It has a very real benefit for you. Don't devalue the things that help you. <3

I'm always happy to make new friends! I'm on PC, so we can message each other on the forums here. I'd love to get to know you! You seem like a great person.

I'm sorry to hear that, the wall jumpers are technically exploiting but it's doubtful that reporting them will get anywhere. Since it's on ZOS to fix that (cough cough) and it's not a "cheat" their whole stance will be "no harm no foul."

When I started playing this game I had a full friend list and there was always stuff to do. Now they have mostly quit the game while I'm stuck here with too much time invested to leave :/ I still like the game, but the little things have been adding up quickly lately..

Anyway hope you feel better and remember that there are still plenty of nice folk both on the forums and in game who will help you out and have your back. Even if sometimes some of us have a bad day and randomly take it out on others (sorry about that).

Hope you can enjoy playing ESO later and have a good day!

But you have nailed the reason why I don't even want to log into the game. I also PVP (a very odd hobby for a woman my age) . The PVP has became unplayable with the numerous exploiters, the lag, the loading screens, and the general toxicity of the PVP community.

@Cazzy , the situation with exploiters is completely out of control mostly because the players abusing the system don't believe Zenimax will punish them at all. That may be duo to ZOS policy against shaming and naming, but somehow I doubt it; It think it is indeed because the company refuses to take up any action, otherwise at least one or two of those exploiting would have been banned and the news would have gotten to the Forums by a friend or a guild mate, someone interested in preserving fair play in this game.

Meanwhile, this is what we get from Zenimax:

It is a pity we can't LOL Button your moderation anymore. Sorry @ZOS_DaryaK , we need more done than what the company you work under is willing to do.

I have a question though, @Cazzy and to the rest of the community. If Zenimax decided wall hooping and all those other exploits are no longer exploits, would it make things better or do you think it would be worse? I believe it would be better, as at least everyone would be in the same ground. As it is right now, exploiters have an unfair advantage and apparently suffer no consequence for abusing the bugs in the game.

P.s. I hope you feel better soon, @Cazzy.

Aw man, I can kind of relate to ya here. I go into ESO to relax after a long day at work or when I'm feeling down (to the music guy/team, I love you, please keep doing you. You make the environments so wonderful to walk around in.) Shame that you ended up in a worse mood than you were when you entered. I've had that happen a few times, like when I was learning the ropes still and some guy in a dungeon decided to completely berate me for not really knowing how to play (when I was like level 30. Oh, also, it was on my birthday.) People suck sometimes. ):

I hope your condition improves soon. I have chronic pain and it suuuucks. Totally hear you on "bad days" and "less bad days".

The best image I can find that I've already uploaded to imgur is this silly xivkyn, so it'll have to do, but I hope it somehow improves your mood.

First off, I'm sorry you're not feeling well and that things went so badly. I hope you're feeling better and won't give up!

I just wanted to ask a question though: Is it against the rules to lurk outside another factions walls to take over? I don't do a lot of PvP, but I like to lurk outside another factions walls and take out folks trying to retake their keep. Is that wrong? Or are we taking about same faction folks doing it.

I know I sound completely ignorant, but, I hate to say this, I am. :)

Dont want to derail, but you are fine @denmoria what you are doing is well within the limits of the game, and appreciated by your faction.

You are hated by your opponents of course, but you keep on doing you.

Our friend here is talking about people using skills that are a bit broken at times to get INSIDE the keeps and kill people, not waiting outside for them :)
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

Cazzy's talking about exploiters who are intentionally using gap-closers to get onto keep walls that they're not supposed to get on and taking over the keep without sieging and whatnot - the behavior you're describing is fine. Keep wall exploiting is a bit of a hot-button issue right now.

That's terrible! I can understand why that's upsetting! I am sorry. Something should be done.

For what it's worth, I think you do more than most to make the community a positive, friendly, welcoming place.

Much respect, and best wishes @Cazzy.

PVP gets boring after a while.

    Try playing guild store tycoon!

    Can be way more fun!
