So I'm in PVP leveling up assault so that I can get caltrops and vigor on my newly rolled orc Dragonknight alt... And then this happened...

For those curious about my gear, I'm in: All gold heavy armor, except for shoulders and head which are medium (but gold nonetheless). Even the gold enchants. Every single piece is impenetrable. Gold sharpened Maelstrom Greatsword, and gold sharpened Maelstrom Bow... Everything is CP160. The sets are: Hunding's Rage and Engine Guardian.

And yet, this guy is taking little to no damage from my attacks (if they manage to land due to 75% of them being dodged or missed). All the while my death recap is showing what it's showing. Plus he's managing to fend off that many people at once. Granted this character is still being developed, WTF is going on here? I made sure my champion points were A-1, and optimized fully for PVP. So honestly, I don't get it. And it can't be a "L2P" issue, because I've been playing for years now. Even beta tested. I play on 2 platforms (thought primarily PS4 as of lately), and know pretty much each class inside and out. I've beaten VMA with every character I have, including that orc in the video. So I really just don't get how someone can pull something like that off.

I just want to know WTF I'm doing wrong, and what exactly is happening. Sure there is lag prevalent, but I doubt that has anything to do with my damage output and my damage received. I'm close to the CP cap on PS4 (490), but on Mac I'm in the 700's. But this is on console, and not Mac. So I don't think my CP's being less than theirs' is too much of an issue.

And by the way, I forgot to mention that the jewelry I'm wearing is purple Agility with robust traits for all 3. And gold weapon damage enchantments.

Open pvp like the ones on MMORPGs can be amazing. You can always find someone out there that is actually much more optimized.

On the first video, you turned your back to him, that 50k crit was amazing, wow. I would enjoy to meet such opponent on the field. The second video, you guys still won after all, I have meet players that can easily wipe a group of 5.

Where's your CC? Looked like your only CC was Dizzying Swing, which you didn't get to use til near the end. If he's not being forced to break-free and use up his stamina, he's going to be able to do more dodge-rolling/vigor spam. Sure he survived a while, but he wasn't really killing any of you.

EDIT: To be clear, I'm referring primarily to the second video.

The first video he legitimately killed you. You can see pretty much every attack that's on your death recap.

The 2nd video he's using the environment and most of his resources are going to defense so Im not surprised, honestly.

So let me guess this straight... You're trying to tell me that my defense and offense are paper, with CP160 gold heavy and medium armor? In all impenetrable, with sharpened gold Maelstrom weapons, gold weapon damage enchants on jewelry, etc.? Really now? He can sponge all my attack, meanwhile chump me like that? When I'm an orc Dragonknight, and he's a Nightblade (I don't know his race)? Excuse me...? Either Nightblades are far more broken than I originally believed, or something is clearly wrong.

Dude that guy is in the #10 best players on Ps4 NA. As a ganker i always avoid him. So yea it's l2p issue.

That put aside, I don't think you managed to land a single WB, so no wonder it looks like he's taking no damage.

You might be using heavy armor, but you use neither Shuffle, SnB nor Volatile, so no wonder your survivability is atrocious. With the penetration in this patch (Sharpened + Surprise Attack), you have probably around 10k physical resist. It's also pretty easy to hit for those amounts on something as simple as a clever alchemist/ swap to Hundings 5/5 setup.

Look your videos in slow motion, take a careful look at the combat popups. There's more to learn when you fail than when you win.

First advice would be to replace igneous weapons (pointless as it doesn't stack with Rally) for Shuffle, possibly drop something else for Volatile Armor. You'll rarely get value out of Arrow barrage in PvP unless you have very good positioning.

Don't be too harsh on yourself. You died with 70% stam and full magicka. You should spam more abilities and more control. Also, don't turn your back to the enemy, you did it twice on the video.

On the second video, the guy did nothing unless heal and shield himself and he did a great job using the enviroment.

Very insightful stuff. And yes, there's a lot of things I see I did wrong. I'm just so used to my magicka characters in PVP (except my stamina Nightblade I can do wonders with), I hadn't really paused and looked at my stamina characters to excel in PVP. Even though I've beaten VMA with all classes in both magicka and stamina versions, I hadn't really thought about conquering PVP as well with both versions. Thanks for the input you guys.

I'd say that what you're doing wrong is... not cheating. It's honorable, it how things should be done, but it seems so common in Cyrodiil that meh...

No, just no. I just got hit with 3 and 4 Dawnbreakers back after back from the same person. Kind of like how people could summon 2 and 3 Storm Atros. There's definitely people exploiting, and the so called "pros" that are on the DC side. Since when can a damage dealing Nightblade tank 15-20 people, all while killing us each also? And they're not emperor. No, I'm not buying it. There's foul play heavy right now on PS4 - NA (Scourge). And I do mean heavy.

By the way gap closing up keeps is still happening. 3-4 dc players keep doing it as I'm typing this very message on my iPhone. And they all have high alliance ranks. How odd. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @Wrobel

This definitely looks strange, it would be cool if you had that in video too. Concerning the gap closers, we need to wait for a fix.

Wish I had footage of that 1 too. PS4-NA PVP is really bad at the moment. And I mean really bad. Exploiters are everywhere. The only thing missing is people flying around with CE or something.

I agree with what I said earlier, about me making a few mistakes here and there. And my build needing some adjustments. But, I need to learn to play? Because a NB can 1vX while taking tons of damage without being scratched really, and still deal tons of damage? I've been playing for far longer than I think you and that individual has. So please, don't come at me like that. Obvious bs is obvious. If anything, it proves just how broken NB's are. Granted I am willing to accept my mistakes and move forward, and learn from them. Two years into the game you should be using the correct morph of rally bro, and playing for x duration doesn't make you automatically more knowledgeable or skilled. I'm going to leave it at that.

Im no pvplayer but i could tell he got you, "fair" in the first vid. You turned your back on him as he spammed with surprise attack, which is a really good damage dealing ability. Any two handed player would do the same thing with wrecking blow. If i were you i would have gone down in half the time lol.

There is no correct morph of Momentum (Rally is 1 of the 2 choices of morphs), and is completely based on an individual's build and overall play-style. Also, I never once said that having played longer than you 2, that I was a superior player in PVP. No. And the reason you're going to leave it like that, is because you lack a strong follow-up to your statement of "L2P" (as most people here on the forums do). I'm all for getting better, and wanting to know my flaws. But, I'm never down with the b.s. of someone saying "git gud" and "l2p" without following up their claims with solid information. Otherwise it's just trending to sound cool, and appear to be elite. When in fact you look arrogant and smug. Please don't come at me like that again in future threads. And if you want to critique me, that's fine. And I welcome it. But don't make baseless claims, then backdown. It's lame.

This is thanks to the ongoing shuffle glitch.

People who overcast evasion CAN make it stack.

Maybe with enough forum outrage we can get zos to "look into it"
This and the guilds who use cheeses in pvp to get emp are ruining this game.

anyone who is running through zergs getting hit only 1/3 of time is using the glitch.

On console people overcast just to make sure one hits. i'm sure tons of people do it on accident!

So besides the fact that there is no shuffle glitch, I'd like to mention that killing people provides 20 ulti and he is using 2 piece bloodspawn on a nightblade to produce that ultimate, have fun.

Several things I noticed from your videos. In the first it looks like you were only able to hit them once, they dodged the other and then feared you. It's pretty common to get smambushed by NB's. They can be pretty tanky too.

On the second video they were probably only hit about half the time by everyone there. That's why they like to run and hide, to make it harder for people to hit them. Funnel health with that many people around will keep them healed pretty well also.

I have been complaining about this on the forum for months.

This and the guilds cheating the AP system to get EMP.

All I hear is LTP, or ZOS has a handle on things!

THAT IS ACTIVE ON CONSOLE TOO!? That would explain an awful lot to a few questions I have had about a few things.

I knew it couldn't be straight-up honest play, and when I showed a few guildies this thread -- I was advised that I'd figure it out "sooner or later". But, I had no clue what they were talking about. And I knew it wasn't just the mistakes I was making, because they even said so. Their words exactly were, "It's not just the mistakes you're making that is causing these strange incidents you're documenting, and have been seeing in PVP. There is obvious exploiting happening, and not everyone you think who has a high alliance rank got it "cleanly". But you'll figure it out sooner or later." So that's what they meant. I knew it! Bro, like literally 75%-80% of my attacks are missing on people. And when I'm standing right-up on them and facing them.
