Problems with invite to group and promote to leader!!

Today, and on some other occasions this week - me and my friends seem to be having trouble inviting people to groups, and promoting others to leader.
When inviting to group - it tells the other person that they failed to join, and tells us that they declined the invite.
Also when trying to promote another to leader, this just does not work.
Furthermore, on some occasions the group ends up with no leader at all.
For me this is kinda game breaking as it seems random with no workaround, and I always play as part of a group.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
FURTHERMORE - CAN WE PLEASE GET SOME OFFICIAL FEEDBACK AND/OR A POTENTIAL FIX?
