The blood splattered shield

So I'm in the middle of doing Cadwells gold and i come across a mission in rivenspire called "the blood splattered shield" and i can not progress forward.

I need to defened a tower to protect 2 people from blood fiends, but the blood fiends never appear.

Ive;
Abandoned the quest. Tried again and no avail.
Abandoned the quest changed zones, restarted the entire game system... no avail
Im guessing it's from the last update

That quest is sometimes bugged, but I remember that it takes an unusual long time for the bloodfiends to appear. Try moving away and back to the tower entrance a few times, it sometimes helps.

Sometimes the bloodfiends spawn in odd locations and get stuck. You may need to look around for them.

Yes, as said kill EVERYTHING in the general area. I once also had one of them get stuck on top of one of the ruins...

I am having a similar issue with this quest. Submitted a ticket and got a generic reply.
