Are maelstrom drops bugged?

I am here, hellow there so after 100+ runs I still don't have Flame staff. All last chest ever gives me is rings and resto staff. Anyone has done VMA after patches because last few runs I got 11 resto staffs and rest jewelry. Anyone?

Personally only ever had a dagger, axe, bow (healing trait...) and 4 sword and shields from the end chest -- the rest of it was random gear like a Ring of Glory...

but from the weekly reward: Sharpened Inferno staff, 2h Maul and Bow, defending Inferno staff, sword and shield and some other stuff, luckily... This was around the time it was first released on console so I could get weekly rewards with a very low score.

I am on PC got kicked off last week had over 470k on EU. Never had them in weekly. But recently really all resto staffs and rings? wow I am feeling like giving up the game. Some people are saying that if I do it on a stam char i will get the flame staff not sure if this is valid info- kinda doubt it

last 2 runs again maesltrom restoration staff. I am just curious if it is RNG right? what are the chances of getting same item over and over? no one is having this kind of issue?

I'm getting the shield and either a sword or mace a lot lately.

The chance of getting the weapon you want with a good trait is extremely low after DB-patch.

Drop rates are abysmal. Useful traits are heavily RNG based. You can see most of our complaints in the other thread that has yet to gain any acknowledgement.

You haven't done enough. You either get it between runs 1-3.or like me last week since January running it 5x weekly on 5 toons minimum.... keep up the efforts.

Btw zos doesn't care to entertain this subject

I have done more then 100 runs I do 3 per day sometimes even 5 lol on 2 characters. Ty for encouragement I am keeping up I am really curious though because to be getting same weapon over and over is really strange don't you agree?

Don´t think it´s bugged, my friend on NA server completed it for the first time yesterday....got a sharpened maelstrom dagger...So just bad luck for you I guess

In my experience the chance of always getting the same weapon is high. 90% of the weapons I get are bows or resto staffs.

That is so so strange thought don't you think? I am wondering for example why am I not getting Flame staffs over and over haha

It's not bugged, but the drop rate (and traits) just aren't in your favor. It's a 50% chance to get one or the other when you open that chest, but the chest can be 20 rings in a row. Doesn't mean you're likely to get 10 rings, 10 weapons. Some people have good luck, some people (like me) have had beyond terrible luck since the update.

It's not broken, but... damn if it doesn't feel broken.

I really am starting to doubt even was thinking to make a ticket about it basically for a while now all I am getting is rings and same weapon over and over and over

NOT ZERO, and that is the problem with pure RNG.

Yeah I have roughly 30 to 40 bows and restos, 3 destro staves...

After patch i was doing not much runs but i recived pretty good drop. like 50/50 jewelery and weapons other then resto staffs. It's RNG get use to be really cursed sometimes

I received a charged 2h battleaxe last night. My prior runs netted me a hunt ring and charged restored staff.

ok so I heard many players saying if you complete it on Stamina builds it gives destro staves I am thinking this is an urban myth but my friend who has been doing VMA on sorc usually today did it on stam templar and got infused Ice staff...

I finally got it! Sharpened Flamestaff after 3 months of doing it 2-5 times a day. I just had my sorc left at 7th arena and thought might as well finish it while I am waiting for a weekly loot on my NB and it was in the last chest!
