Leveling Weapon Skill Line Without Weapon Equiped

Currently I have a Bow and 2H equipped while leveling, but looking ahead to endgame I will be dropping the 2H for DW. Is it possible to put a DW skill on my 2H bar to level DW or will it only level that specific DW skill?

✭@ejreppi_ESO yes it is possible, just equip a dw weapon lvl it once then u can put a skill on ur bar then switch back to which ever weapon you prefer.... Psyonico✭✭✭It should be worth noting, however, that at level 50 you gain experience fast enough that (IMO) it is worth just waiting to equip the weapon if you don't want to do so now, so that you have the extra skill slot.
Any reason you aren't just slotting DW more?0
