Radiant Destruction AKA PVP/tamriel destruction

After Dark Brotherhood patch the PVP experience lately turned into a templar patch. All i see lately is templar groups stacking up, casting Radiant destruction from 100% - 0% health constantly, rotating from target to target. Since the skill has an absolutely ridiculous long range, high damage (and if it werent enough yet)& isn't dodgeable, you are dead before you ever tried to think about countering it.

Theres many strong skills from the different classes that always can be countered in any situation, but radiant destruction rips everything up whenever you are in the open witout a wall to hide behind.Pvp has been totally boring, not diverse and absolutely not balanced since a few months due to overpowered templar (groups). On top of radiant destruction they also posess ridiculous healing aka The Breath of Life. It has absolutely no cooldown or punishing effect as it should (hence streak -+50% cost increase if spammed within 4 sec // dodgeroll also has a cooldown ). So you can literally spam ur health up forever and tank whatever u like untill the enemy starts running out of resources, then you go radiant spamming till finish since it cant be dodged and outhealing is quite difficult if you dont have Breath of Life yourself! (which stamchars absolutely dont have). And yes, i have tried to burst any decent templar player down, with 6K spell dmg or weap dmg, its literally not possible to outdps the BoL heal.

Isnt it time to reconsider the mechanics/cooldowns behind these skills? I dont ask for the skills to be nerfed or to be changed, but add a certain cooldown on the BoL spam? And make radiant dodgeable? These 2 changes would balance things at least in a certain way and make open field pvp more enjoyable.

I think the goal after all in ESO is create character diversity, avoid zergs (so dont motivate ppl to roll the same builds and stack up to spam 1 skill till everything drops)

So i would like to hear some feedback about this, if you agree with my opinion, share your CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. If you dont, counter my rant here in a polite way please :-D

    it seems you are quoting the hints from his screenshot lmao, try also bringing a friend by using the grouping tool.............
    i dont have any long range stuns on my build. and even if i had, u can only interrupt/bash 1 person at once only, but u wont kill anyone by doing it, meanwhile its not that u aint getting hammered by the rest? if for exemple it was dodgerollable, u at least could interrupt the whole fight and give urself a chance to survive. Nevertheless they still have BOL spam also to negate whatever u to do them

    Who said anything about killing people with bash? If you're having trouble countering a skill, learn how to counter it. Bashing cancels the radiant channel.

    Stop defending the obviously broken and easy mode skill in the game. Not once have I tried to say this skill is balanced, I want it to be made able to be dodged or the worst case scenario, reduced the damage it deals in non execute range.

    Oh, I didn't see the quotes, but it's not wrong lmao. They're a magicka build, javelin costs magicka. Actually a way easier solution than bashing lol.

    You can't counter when that happens, all 4 of those beamers going at it as soon as I hit 40% my health will desync and I will be dead in an instant with no counter.

    It's such an easy mode and game breaking skill, sure it has a lot of counters but what you can do to this skill is pretty bad.

    AND TO MAKE THINGS WORSE ALL 4 OF THOSE PLAYERS WERE USING RADIANT GLORY, GLORY. Why the hell would you even use glory in pvp opposed to oppression

    I am not defending the skill. I don't even play a templar. And I don't think it's a balanced skill. I was giving the OP an idea to counter it. I also want it to be dodgeable.

    Fix shuffle and up the cost on roll dodge then you can make RD dodgeable.
    Although with 4 templars on you it won't make a difference.

    I play a templar and the skill is completely pathetic. It shouldn't even deal damage above 40%

    If it is only one templar, countering it is easy. If it is multiple players hitting you with it at once, why shouldn't you be dying? You should be getting rekt 4v1.
    I agree there should be no counter to shuffle dodge spam.

    I completely agree that radiant destruction is in serious need of some attention. Even as a tank, you don't want to be on the front lines going against a zerg of radiant destruction. It is so sad to see more and more people flock to this one ability... and why not? It is so strong that of course people with lesser skill are going to use it.

    It sure would be nice to see ZOS change this ability. There have been several recommendations suggested and I hope that ZOS will eventually wake up and do something about it.

    No respect to any player that uses this skill on a target that is at 100% health especially when you are running with a zerg.

    well @jrgray93 i would agree but if you make/spec a tank, you SHOULD be able to survive. but since you cannot dodge this skill, u get full dmg constantly. theres no way u stay alive versus this and thats the real problem. tanks can stay alive vs any class do to block/dodging/evasion whatever u call it. because everything can be blocked/dodged/evaded. radiant NOT.

    Well in truth, this game will never be balanced for PvP. With every update, some class or skill will become OP and need to be nerfed according to PvPers who get killed by it.

    That is a pathetic thing to say, you're saying because I'm going to be dead either way it wont make a difference... it should make a difference and there should be a counter to it. With your view it sounds like you're saying you run in those 24 group only and all jump off your horse to chase down that 1 guy.
    May as well stop trying to turn ESO into a numbers game and allow for some counters. Majority of the time skilled players are able to do 4v1 etc, but if there is a beam spammer there is such an unlikely chance. To have one guy in the back hitting that crap on you.

    There are so many things I would give this skill to balance it out, one of them would be if the skill has been purged or dodged, then you have an 8 second cooldown before you can cast it again. what do you think about that one @Jules (calling in the ultimate beam nerf poster) and @KenaPKK

    Zenimax are just enabling toxic and pathetic gameplay styles.

    Well in truth, this game will never be balanced for PvP. With every update, some class or skill will become OP and need to be nerfed according to PvPers who get killed by it.

    i get killed by every kind of classes on every one of my chars, but that makes sence since every class has a counterclass and situational fights. but templars at this moment are a counter to every class with that single skill.

    so theres no OP thread needed for nightblades or shieldstacking sorcs :)

    I stopped PVPing in this game because it is the most poorly balanced mess I've ever experienced in an MMO. You have players that can one-shot others and players that can survive for minutes on end against 5+ other people. Add to that the lag and other issues and the PVP is really not fun. I just hate threads like this because us PVE people take a hit when they nerf something for PVP.

    It is not broken as the devs have stated many times.
    You would be just as dead from four archers at range.
    All these complaints stem from being killed by multiple players from ranged attacks, I find being disintegrated by sorcs in the distance just as annoying because in a large fight you rarely see that coming either.
    At least with RD you get a lot of warning by that obvious gold beam which is hard to miss.

    I agree RD should be dodgable. I'm ok with BoL as it is though. I don't run a dps templar but they haven't had it easy up until now so I'm ok with them being a tough class.

    You could always run a tank build and stand there laughing when a turd load of RD beams hit you before shield charging everything in sight.

    I can probably get behind that. Just with my limited experience in PVP, everyone is dodging everything. I think that needs addressed as well. I felt forced to use RD over Dark Flare and the like because I could actually hit people.
