Concept: Mounts and Wagons

So what if our mounts could pull wagons? This would actually allow a player to carry other players around! Players can only board the wagon if the wagon is not moving and anyone can jump off the wagon at any given time, even while it's moving! The Carry Capacity stat could even be used to aid this concept!

    I think for immersion purposes jumping while pulling a wagon would have to be disabled, therefore the only way to do that is to be able to climb a hill without jumping. Wagons would have to be toggled on and off from the mounts menu as well to enable or disable them.

    Also for the record enemy players cannot hop on in PvP zones lol

    It would be nice so that other players can ride on your mount or wagon. That's what Angry Joe was a little mad about when you can't allow to do it. But probably won't allow it cause of lag when the players just exit and just spam abilities and such.

    You wouldn't be able to use abilities while in the wagon, and Rapid Maneuver would be up to the driver.

    This concept could work good with my Netch/Silt Strider mount idea.

    No jumping, carry multiple people. Great idea for a mount, people would def buy them off crown store.

    A one man carriage being of a moderate cost, and two and four being really expensive then I could see it working as a cash sink, good for the wood working craft and good for new PvP players.

    It would be cool if implement with trade packs as well. I mean, bringing a trade package (craftable of course) to a destination (pvp or pve) would reward the player with gold, ap, or whatever. The further the distance travelled, the greater the reward. The most important is that trade packs wouldn't be inventory items, but worn like equipment on the back. Thus this would greatly reduce a player's movement speed, requiring him or her to seek efficient ways of travel (and to carry more trade packs) like wagons, special mounts, etc.

    (yea, I'm totally copying this from other mmo's, but I think that is a really cool feature and very sandbox ish).

First thing people would want to do is transport their groups around Cyrodiil, so they all arrived somewhere together, but when was the last time you saw a single animal not only carry a person, but also pull a cart burdened with 4 or 6 other people, all with heavy armor and weapons doing 50mph across rugged terrain?

    In order to stay within reason, the mount would be forced to travel at a walking pace, as was the Horse Carriage in Skyrim's intro sequence.

    You do raise a valid point. Therefore I propose that the mount's speed decrease with each additional passenger on the wagon, including the first one. The mount will only suffer a small decrease pulling the wagon with no passengers. Rapid Maneuver would still increase mount speed though even WITH the wagon.

    As for practical use outside of Cyrodiil there actually is. A character with +60% mount speed from riding lessons pulling 6 people would STILL move faster than a character with NO investment in riding lessons, thus those that have not invested much into their mount speed would be able to catch a ride with someone that has, thus get around quicker. Sure one could argue fast travel trumps it but not always.

This would just make more issues and since it would involve players not having any necessary input once on the wagon it might cause people to get stuck in the environment.

    Everything has issues at first. Literally everything lol but it's nothing that cannot be fixed later on, even if they do resurface again. I mean that's never stopped Zenimax before right?
