Monster set or not?

I'm just about to craft CP160 armour after finally get all the mats!

I'm a mag sorc (staying true rather than going Stam!) and was wondering if any monster helm sets are worth while for dps sorcs?

I plan on using usual 3 x jewellery and then 5 piece kags, Lich or seducer.

what are people's thoughts on using 2 piece monster helm set or 3 pieces of another set? (Magnus)

I play pve and pvp

i see a lot of sorcs with engine Gaurdian in pvp.

With or without you will be effective

For pve dps used 2 Kena or nerieneth. For pvp magnus or engine guardian might be more useful.

Kena or Nerenieth if you really want a monster set

if not, there are a few "fun" sets you could try out - like 5 Elegance (3 Jewls + 2 Armors - cheaper then Willpower set), Seducer, Archmage, Lich, even DW with 5 Vicious Death (jewls and weapons) and then a monster set on top of that

@pcar944 I'm running 5 vicious death 5 seducer now! It's crazy good in pvp at moment!

Monster helms over rated... Some of the helms require random procs. Some are very situational and some require a lot of weapon attack micromanagement. Don't get me wrong they are effective but some builds are better with the extra set piece or two, espcally if you go dual wield.

@psychotic13 I've only been running a couple of weeks but is really effective so far! With the spell cost increase from last patch full seducer is amazing. Loads of regen and 8% cost reduction is hard to ignore.

Vicious death is still great for pvp especially when you storm castles and there are huge groups
1v1 it's strong too

Well if you plan on using lich, it takes up head and shoulders slot.

Nerien'eth is good for pve dps. Not really for pvp.

For pvp, 1 piece kena is probably best. That, 5 Kags, 2 torug's (3 magnus/seducer if dual wield) and 3 willpower is pretty solid for pvp.

Never really thought about using vicious death on a sorc, how high does your damage stand though although Kagrenacs or Julianos.

This does seem like the best all round build.

I havnt quite got enough traits for kags yet though which is annoying!

Will be at least a month until I do and there will prob be another patch then!

Post in the crafting section to see if you can get someone to make it for you

Try again I guess? I posted there and it worked, I now keep in contact with the crafter and pay him for his services when needed.
