Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Recovered

I've found a workaround for "Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Recovered" problem.

SOLUTION: Set shadow quality to "Off".

@ZOS_GaryA, I don't know the real issue but I think it's in the shadow shader that falls into infinity loop in some boundary conditions. Video driver detects this infinity loop with Timeout Detection and Recovery (TDR) system and restarts the driver. Promote this information to developers please.

My tech specs: ASUS GTX680, Core i7, 32 GB RAM, SSD, 100 Mbit inet, all settings at max except of the shadow quality (off).

It works if you set your video settings on low or medium. Anyway try to run DDU and see if you have and GPU drivers unrelated to your current setup. Worked for me.

No, it doesn't. Max Settings + (Low|Medium|High|Ultra) Shadows = Crash. Max Settings + Shadows Off = No Crash.
I've tested it all on 64 and 32 bit clients. I think that issue in the shadow's shader.

With Shadows set to Off I have no one crash yet (2 days of gameplay).
