Game Stability or More DLC?

Let me start by saying I love ESO (I especially love it for the lore) and the new contents Zenimax brings is always welcoming. I find them very enjoyable to where I really don't mind spending a couple of bucks.

However every new DLC they release always seems to reduces the games overall stability and quality such as FPS, Longer and/or more frequent loading screens and game crashes.

Now the the Shadows of the Hist is practically around the corner I feel that history will repeat itself and the game itself will suffer with even more crashes and more frequent loading screens.

So I made this poll to see what we the players want for the future of ESO with two simple Question:

Game Stability or More DLC? 137 votes

Game Stability - I wish to see the issues on ESO resolved, even if it means putting DLCs on hold.

More DLC - I wish to see more content added to the game. The game is stable enough as it is.

They've had years to sort out the stability issues. I can't see it suddenly getting amazingly better anymore.
Time for them - and us - to accept it (or not) for what it is.
If you can be anything, be kind.

Different people work on the different aspects of the game. Stopping work on some things doesn't speed always mean speeding up effort in other areas.

At that, a flow of content is required to retain active players. Additionally, my game runs just fine. A little hiccup here and there but no real issues.

I wonder if maybe you are running 64 bit but your machine would run 32 bit better or if there is another issue making your PC struggle with the game.

Also, your pill is skewed, not that it matters since polls in these forums never represent the community of ESO.

I havn't even gotten to IC on my main. The completionist in me forces me to either complete as much as possible (in ESO every quest achievment) or quit trying. Lack of DLC doesn't affect me. All the bugs and random loading screen does.

Thanks for feedback I guess? Also how is my poll skewed? It's an honest question because I don't use poll posts that much.

EDIT: Never mind. I think I see what you mean. Guess it's not necessary to add other stuff to the polls. Should've just left it with the simple answers.

I think it would be swell if they could get the dungeon finder working before the next dlc. You know the one that is only 2 new dungeons.

just a reminder that the performance issues are platform wide,
and when i can run around dungeons/open world/Pvp unincumbered on 1 character, but can not mount on another (because of the perpetual load screens) im confident in saying it is neither my internet or my xbox

That is actually sort of the issue. Right now the perception by a lot of people is that they are just doing one. The dlc part. Not the fixing part.

I'm pretty sure if Zenimax accepted the bugs and leave it be it would disappoint a lot of fans and kill the games. That's the last thing any game developer wants

First, if they open their eyes they'd see bugs getting fixed.

Second, some bugs will never get fixed and for that, get over it. Never, in the history of modern computer gaming have all bugs been fixed.

You dont really get how the forums work do you? Those who feel wronged never get over it on the forums.

Just like the white knights never get over the fact that forums are just the way they are and they still rush around defending a company from every perceived injustice.

Maintenance and DLC crew is more like it. I think a significant part of the studio is off working on something else. The DLC content this year is not enough for the number of people they have working for them, even with One Tamriel. If so, that is part of the problem.

I don't think this upcoming DLC is small at all. It's not a new zone, but there is new PvE content, updated PvE content, updated and new gears sets, new PvP objectives and the barbershop. All of which people have been asking for, and they delivered. It's not smaller than a few hours of questing like TG and DB.

I was disappointed not to see more bug fixes in the patch notes, especially for the big long term bugs. Bug-free is never going to happen but we need some work in that department.

After DB dropped. We all began to see the major issues that it brought. What does ZoS do? Release more info game updates/changes and dlc? If this doesn't show that they are out of touch with the player base and the state of the game I don't know what does.

^This. Game is about as stable as its gonna get.

If all new content development is put on hold indefinitely for bug fixes, maybe you'll get your perfect game in a few months, or a year, or more, maybe not. But the one thing I can tell you for sure is the next time they do get around to new development, there will be new bugs. That's how software development works, regardless of the developers' level of competence.
