If i get a purple rewards of the worthy drop, does it innately have a purple enchant? How about gold drops? If you upgrade from purple to gold, does the enchant upgrade as well?

No. Enchantments remain the same once placed on the item. To get the better enchantment (if it isn't tops already) you must use a gold Glyph.

Use temper first. For example monster helmets come with a gold level enchant on them already but until you upgrade the item to gold quality, the enchant is capped at the item's quality (so purple).

So what about other gear that's find or rewarded? I'd imagine it works the same?

Yes, Rewards of the Worthy aren't different than any other dropped piece in terms of the enchantment. Improve the quality of the item first ... then place the maximum desired (up to CP160 gold) enchantment over the existing enchantment.

Due to the scarcity of Kutas, I personally don't gold glyph any equipment or jewelry that isn't CP160 ... but that varies from player to player.

So only monster gear enchants improve with upgrading? Everything else would keep the old glyph quality?

Someone explained it to me that all CP160 purple drops have max glyph on them but its scaled down to purple. So if you upgrade to gold, it will already be at max, no need to glyph it again unless you wanna override the glyph type.

Yes, the enchantments on set items that drop in blue or purple are automatically upgraded when you upgrade the item to gold.

Also, for jewelry, the quality level of the item doesn't matter, only the glyph. You can put a gold jewelry glyph on green ring and the effect is the same as if it were gold ring.

Most Dropped Set Items, and could be all items that drop with an Enchantment, the Enchantment will usually improve when you improve the underlying item. Sometimes it does not. Crafted items that had a Glyph applied, the Glyph stays the same even after improvement.

Rule of Thumb, if your going to improve item, do so first, then look at the Enchantment and see if the value has gone up or stayed the same. If it has gone up, then your good to go, if it stayed the same, then decide if you want to put a new Glyph on it.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
