We here at ZOS are aware of the many bugs and issues on console and PC and will be proactively working correct these issues. We are bringing in a team of specialists to fix the lag inside and out of Cyrodiil as well as existing bugs that have been around for quite some time. We hear your concerns as a community toward the future of TESO and are determined to work diligently to promote the longevity of game making TESO the best MMO for years to come.

We are currently working on solutions for the following in game bugs;
<INSERT LONG LIST HERE>
If there are any bugs which are not listed here please report them here<INSERT BUG THREAD>

Additionally we will be starting interactive threads with the community to discuss the best ways to balance the classes. No one class should be stronger than another and no one class should be forced into a specific playstyle or build in order to play competitively. Again we hear your concerns and want to do everything we can to make your TESO gaming experience more enjoyable.

We apologize for the lack of communication for many of the aforementioned issues. Rest assured we are working on correcting each and every one of them to give you as a community the best possible gaming experience TESO has to offer. Moving forward we will be taking steps to be more active with the community and transparent when issues are reported and will be working on correcting them before releasing future content.

<END>

Personally this is what I hope to see pretty much every time I log onto the forums. Much of the toxic nature of posts stems from the lack of transparency and the lack of response/communication from the devs/mods to put fixes into place. Its great they are determined to work on new stuff and release new content to the game however many of the issues which make the game unenjoyable are just ignored or put on the back burner until a new bug comes up and that issue is forgotten about. Anyone else hope to see something like this when they check the forums?

    Yes. But it will never happen. Neverwinter is out next week on PS4 and is already on X1, and its vastly recommended over ESO. They fixed the economy, too, so you can actually, truly, play for free.

    I'll be migrating between that and FFXIV for my console MMORPG fix. I've given up faith that things will ever be fixed here, let alone addressed as they should be in your example.

    P.S. Nobody can "have my stuff".

    Is Neverwinter much different on console than pc? I tried it a year or so ago on pc and it wasn't all that. Very heavy on the cash shop reliance as well. I thought that foundry thing was cool though.

    Agreed that it will likely never happen. Can't say it surprises me that others are looking for a replacement. Would be great if it actually happened though

    Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

    Neverwinter is pretty p2w on PC or at least it was when I tried it.

    GW2 was never p2w played it for 2 years before coming to ESO, structured pvp *** all over eso's but wvw sucks compared to cyrodiil pvp.

    Ok. Glad to know GW2 is not P2W, and thanks for the info :smile:

    I have both games but like ESO way better than NW. I played NW first for awhile but they want you to pay for everythin. I enjoyed the game play mechanics better in ESO too.

    No, Neverwinter is not a good console port.. I played it on X1 to max level and I cant tell you how annoying it was to constantly see world chat spam about cash shop items - or system alerts of people buying cash shop items etc in the middle of my freaking screen...

    The whole UI felt so intrusive that I could hardly concentrate on what I was doing in game. I personally rate ESO much higher on the scale, even with its current lag/dashboarding issues.

    ^ this and it's self perpetuating. We started off all fine and dandy but after getting ignored over and over again during the push to console things got toxic. Dev's were like "I'm not stepping foot in there". Which made the community more toxic. Which made the Devs not even want to look at the forums, which made the community more toxic. I guess they just gave up entirely because they got rid of the developer discussion page.

    ZOS it started with you, it only ends with you. Doing nothing isn't going to fix it, it will only make it worse and eventually irredeemable.

    Go look at the few threads where an actual Dev is there. The mood and tone change immediately. People are emboldened to be toxic because they know you aren't there. When you are there, things change!

    Yup one response from ZOS in a post and its immediate thank yous and constructive questioning. Granted there will always be those users who are too salty to accept what they have to say(my self included sometimes)

    Sadly most of the time when you see a thread that has a moderator post it's usually the forum police and not devs

    Why didn't you just turn off world chat then? 0_o

    You can also customize the hud as well to your liking. Don't be lazy :p

    But I agree with ESOs hud, it's very simple and doesn't clutter the screen.
