This leads me to believe that no one who works on this game has every played a max level character with a staff! Otherwise, weapon dyes would have been a priority by now!

Well I do... logic = money. They can make money off selling hats. Theres no money in giving people weapon dyes

Really? I can think of a few other priorities.
One being the EU server being our for maintenance on Monday and Tuesday - didn't matter if you were a developer or not, nobody was playing

I almost mentioned this on the costume dye thread this morning glad it's been raised once again to remind everyone of an actual issue.
Costume dyes are nice but wasn't needed. Weapons dyes ARE NEEDED

Needed; fixing lag and glitches and broken quests.
NOT NEEDED; weapon dyes to make you look pretty.
Does the weapon function? Yes? Then there isn't an issue.
Does the weapon glitch/not function correctly? Then there is an issue.
Can you color the weapon pink/orange/puce/fuschia/mauve/green/black/whatever? No? Still not an issue. Between the things that do matter like quest fixes and the fact your weapons clash with your ensemble, the clashing isn't a real problem.
Pink Toxin Doctor FTW.
I can understand people wanting to dye their hilt or haft on their axe/staff, but who on earth would ever want to dye their blade, I personally don't want to see funky coloured blades.

Not being funny but I'm assuming, like me, that the development team couldn't give a toss about weapon in dying. I'd actually be really annoyed if they did, because there is so much more that needs addressing and fixing. Weapon dyes.... Give me a break!

Ok, let me rephrase this. The problem really is that there already is weapon dye. Our weapons are already funky colors! Unfortunately they are the funky colors that ZO$ has chosen for us! So I guess what I am calling for is to take away the weapon dye! Make them the color of normal weapons! Brown for wood and grey for steel! How's that?! I mean seriously how much work could that take?!

But... they're the color of the component made.
Rubedite ingots are bright red, make red weapons.
Voidstone ingots are bluish-black and make bluish-black weapons.
I do want weapon dyeing, but the colors make sense when you consider that.

But the armor is also the correct color for the material, yet we can throw a paint job on that no problem.
