THE MOST ANNOYING THING PLAYERS DO IN THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!! IGNORE SIGNALING!!!

has anyone ever dealt with this? you're talking in zone, you have a chat with a few people, are having a good time, and then all this sudden someone took something too personally or something and they start a fight. eventually after a few minutes of slinging mud, eventually someone decides to tap out and says something along the lines of "i don't have time for your dumb ass. you're going on ignore," and they say that in zone chat! i call this type of action "ignore signaling." when you feel the need to let everyone else in the zone know when you've decided to claim you're better than someone else and ignore them. it's so stupid. i've started calling this behavior out, because i find it pathetic and i'm trying to shun it out of existence. if you're going to ignore someone, don't act like a little kid that needs the last word in, just put them on ignore and move on. do you hate ignore signalers too? have you been the one that's been sending ignore signals? (because i know i have a few times, though i stopped for good after i realized how stupid it is now.)

I do make an issue of telling people if I've put them on ignore or reported them. Maybe more people will follow suit and then they'll be talking to themselves and/or disciplined.

By the way, this isn't about superiority - it's about making a statement that you won't put up with whatever led you to block the person (in my case mostly racism, sexism or flaming). And for someone who resents other people's judgment, this looks awkward:

It does serve a purpose though. The person saying it is still visible to the person they ignored. Now that person that has been ignored can STFU instead of continuing on with an argument that is no longer going on. Basically letting someone know they have been ignored is doing the entire zone a favor. So please stop trying to make an issue out of one that isn't there.

Two people in a random group the other day started arguing big time, completed it but it wasn't fun to say the least. Basically the first guy a tank kept standing in red and not even bothering to move out of way of any sort of damage kept dying and he called the healer a *** who to be fair was doing a good enough job. Was no need for name slinging though from either of them.

Most people don't want to deal with other people's ignorance. Whether it be racism, sexism, or just plain stupidity. Especially in video games. We're here to have fun.

The people doing the ignore shout outs are normally doing me a favor. Though my ignore list is getting pretty long.

There isn't another way to let the other person know they are talking to a wall.

You let the zone know the dude is on ignore as a way of apologizing for wasting their time and to let the other person know the argument is done so stop spamming zone with whatever b.s. started it.

No.... If that person actually said things like that , then they deserve to be banned right along with the cheaters in this game.

That's the problem with a lot of people I meet these days. They have no respect for others or their surroundings. This is especially true in video games with today's keyboard warriors.

'He just said some racist and mean things'. No, he supported a terrorist organization the day they perpetrated a bombing that killed 41 and injured 230 people. That not being enough, the person proceeded to say he wishes the other player would die on the next bombing. That is what you are defending... He said he wanted them to die in a bombing. That is a little above mean. You're okay with someone wishing someone death, but someone saying they are putting someone on ignore needs to stop? Gain some perspective.

There are plenty of things to complain about in respect of ESO but this? Come back when you have something that actually matters to whinge about.

If someone decides to Ignore me, cool. I don't care. If I put someone on Ignore, I am not going to tell them about it, what good would it do? Besides, it kind of defeats the purpose of Ignoring someone if your going to pay attention to them to tell them your ignoring them.
