Game Masters in Cyrodil

When I played in a soccer league, I paid fees which paid for a professional referee at every game. Imagine a competitive soccer game without a referee, a system where you had to report offenses to a soccer support team with photos, video and a long description of when someone fouled you. I think there would be issues

I'd like to know if Zos has considered hiring game masters to help prevent cheating / foul play in Cyrodil. It would cost some money but if implemented well, the benefit would be that we cut down on some of the incidents of cheating and harassment that seem to bother so many people.

One of the loading screens says something about game GMs existing but I have never heard of them doing anything...ever. Even when enemy players could get it into the PvP starting areas they did 100% of absolutely nothing. So I think they are like unicorns... but apparently unicorns exist (google it) so maybe not.

Honestly, other than that one 'fight the devs' on pts failure where everyone just kept crashing, the only time ive heard of real GMs in game is when one responded to an RP event that was being trolled.

An RP event. The only time. In 2.5 years.

GMs were plentiful during the great bot wars of 2014, however they have since vanished from the face of Tamriel. Most scholars assume they are hanging out with the Dwemer mainlining Skooma and singing "Red Diamond" over and over.

I've seen a GM 2 times in the 2+ years I've been playing ESO.

Once was when the shadow boss in Craglorn was bugged, and you could reset it repeatedly for 32k xp a kill. A player had died and gone afk at the Shadow's feet, and people started complaining in zone chat, because him being there prevented the Shadow from spawning again. All of the sudden pop. A man in a white robe pops up, walks up to the body, and moves it away. We were very grateful, but at the same time on edge because of how we were grinding the boss. The GM proceeded to /sitchair right by us and asked "what exactly is going on here?" To which none of us answered and kinda went our separate ways. R.I.P. Shadow grind.

The second time was actually in Cyrodiil. Yes, you read that correctly. In Cyrodiil. It was very, VERY brief, and confusing.

I was standing at the transitus shrine in Arrius keep. Probably eating a sandwich while my group took a pee break or something. And within probably 5 seconds, a GM popped up directly in front of me, like he used the transitus system to load into the keep, said some programmer jargon in /say chat, then disappeared. I just sat there with my sandwich in my mouth in awe.

So, it's not like they don't have GM's. They just only show up when someone is messing up a boss grind you're exploiting, or when he slips up and didn't realize he wasn't logged in as his EP spy to help AD out.

Was the one and only time I saw a GM in this game tho.

I saw 3 GMs host an RP event once in Davon's Watch. It was a race =D
