Will Destructive Touch ever get a buff?

The skill has so much potential in becoming a standard/core ability to a Magicka DD.

The damage on it is very lacking however. My tooltip states 7305 damage over 8 seconds with 3082 Spell Damage. Like seriously? Even Sun Fire does more damage than this.

If D Touch ever got a buff what would become of Force Shock? I suppose you'd have one hell of a combo if you utilized both though.

it's your first magicka skill from the destro line, it's not really that great but I don't think it's meant to be. That being said, if you really want it to be strong, go grab a Masters Destro Staff

Sigh I should've put a [PvE] tag on this thread.

I don't care for the additional CC effect on the ability. I'm focusing on the actual DoT that is on it.

In this new DB meta, DoTs are everything, whether AoE or Single-Target.

Magicka users, especially Sorcerers, are really lacking in that department.

DKs:

1. Searing Strike
2. Fiery Breath
3. Ash Cloud

Templars:

1. Sun Fire
2. Backlash
3. Cleansing Ritual

Nightblades:

1. Path of Darkness
2. Cripple

Sorcerers:

1. Lightning Splash

What I really miss about this skill is being able to knock back an enemy a couple of times. Since they nerfed that aspect, I have not even spent a skill point on this one.

I agree. The damage needs a real buff. At least the DoT portion could use a buff.

Personally, if you are strong enough AND lucky enough to obtain a CP160 Gold Master Destruction Staff from the new Vet DSA then Destructive Touch should either:

1) Become a stronger spammable DPS skill than Force Pulse
2) Provide a very high damage DoT so it is great for max DPS

I have a feeling that they just forgot to look at this skill again....
