Stamina based Tanks still around?

After making 3 tanks, Templar, DK and NB all three have better magicka based skills for tanking than stamina ones (IMO). Anyone have builds centered around stamina and if so what is your build?

I do; an imperial stam DK

    5 black rose, 2 mal/engin (situational), 3 endurance + 2 Nights silence (or 5 fasallas for PvP).

Run hakeijo on most pieces so sit at about 30k health, 30k stam and 15k magicka.
    2.5k weapon damage + 1.1k stam/mag recovery , 27k unbuffed resists.

The combination of black rose and 1.1k mag recovery lets me freely use talons/ eruption and chains as needed. The huge stam pool lets me perma block cos I run x3 block cost reduction enchants. Top this off with 20% major evasion from shuffle coupled with vigor and igneous and mal/engin, im a self-healing beast mode tank that perma blocks letting me healer go full QQ DPS. Not to mention the huge amount of CC I bring to the group with chains, talons, caltrops and eruption (all of which can be kept up 24/7 while perma blocking lol)

The more stamina you have in your pool, the less dmg you take on blocking, if im not mistaken

No, it just allow you to block more hits.

@op, I use the same stuff as Vangy's dk with my templar and it's quite good. I think it's slightly better than the dk.

Ability to stack dmg mitigations with heroic slash + empowering sweep + restoring focus(not channelled focus) coupled with your high spell and physical resistance and through CP is insane. And you add shuffle there to dodge 20% of the hits.. And if you are a Nord, you have extra 6% dmg mitigation, though it's multiplicative.
Also with healing done/taken stack with major mending + malubeth + restoring focus + health lingering potions(which gives another stackable heal bonus minor blabla), this build becomes perfectly self-sufficient. It's out of control.

You don't even have to block with the exception of bosses' heavy attacks. But if you ever wanted to block, you can still block enormous amount of hits thanks to the repentance and low block costs. Repentance can also heal you quite a lot when there are enough bodies around. And there are vigor and rally for occasional big heals and malubeth proccing left and right.. You cant die with that. Also you have purify, so..

A dedicated healer would be just waste of position with a build like this tanking. Maybe need someone to pop breath of life or healing ward occasionally when some careless dd takes hit.

Though it's not working in pvp as good as in pve but still better than most other builds. You can add agility and leki instead of endurance and night silence and be done with it. 3.3k weapon dmg + all the tankyness. Sustain will be problem though.
