    ... that'll perform a /reloadui when you press it

And cause at least a 5-10 minute, or even an occasional infinite load screen haha

    It's probably a server reason.

I'm doing the hirelings because I remember getting 'some' good stuff from them in the past and a refresh mail button would be great. Nothing like logging on, expecting to hear that thunk in the mail box and....nothing. Once a day, used to mean once a daily reset. So far the only hireling that has sent me mail was the clothier one and that was after multiple /reloadui. I'm still waiting the blacksmither, woodworker and enchanting hirelings and it's been around 2 days now.

It shouldn't require user interaction. It should just appear after the mail is received on the server end. Rewards of the Worthy can pop into my mailbox pretty much instantly so its not like there's some limitation to that. Just boggles my mind that not everything works that way.

Good point, it should just appear like *poof!* but for some reason, it doesn't...

So, if ZOS cannot make our mail instantly update, we may as well get a refresh button OR a personal postman, like this guy:

    *Buys some carrots...*
Note that standard pop clients check mail every few minutes, its not an instant process, even web mail clients don't have an instant update. ESO client on the other hand talk with server all the time and you get lots of instant data so adding mail would not be hard.

Still an check mail button would be an easy and good solution.
and an reply button, pretty nice to have then you sending expensive stuff around
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

A mail refresh button will definitely be spammed by someone just for the lulz, or someone expecting a mail from another player, and if you put together too many people spamming refresh you'll just get another way to kill the server hamsters. It would be preferable to get the equivalent of push notifications, with the server identifying when to serve a new mail notification without the need for players to spam refresh.

I've been using this button to check my e-mails since 1998. Works perfectly! Today we have 2020 and devs of the MMO that is supposed to be #1 on the market cannot figure out how to make it work in their game so players are forced to relog... IT'S BEEN SIX YEARS!!! :s

Poster daemonios (2nd above your post) has your answer.

Almost four years since this thread was begun and it is still an issue. Yes we need a refresh mail.

Then put a limitation on it like the one for guild store searches. Once per 10-20 seconds is still more often than thhe 5+ minutes it takes to arrive on its own or to relog or travel to another zone which takes just as long.

I would like a button that just reloaded me to the zone I was standing in. I have reloaded zones for mail and other little issues and this has helped. So button that does this would be great.

A mail refresh button would be spammed so many times and this would lead to issues and rage posts.

So put a timer on it. Other things have timers and work fine.

It is idiotic that you have to logout and back in to get your mail (or switch zones). It is even worse that such an old thread can be necro'd without losing the point.

    Please fix this now ZoS!

Why add a button when you can just fix the existing functionality? I get my daily crown store update without fail, they can just leverage that!
