I really like all the new mounts (camels, wolves, big cats...), they look amazing, very detailed, and whoever made them certainly paid care and attention to body proportions. However, horses look odd in the bunch. They clearly come from a time when ESO was a bit more "cartoonish" in style, and don't look that great anymore: their legs are too thick, hooves too big, their body too stocky, they look more like ponies than real horses. With just minimal adjustments to body proportions and some new textures horses could look soooo much better than they do now.
Just look at the two screenshots below, the first is a horse from ESO the other is a real horse. Please Zenimax give us better looking horses!

Epona was a Romano-Celtic goddess dating back to around 1800 to 2000 years before computer games were invented.

that too, but since we are only going to get one, it would be nice if it was a realistic shape and size.

I agree wholeheartedly! The horses need an overhaul to bring them up to the model quality of the later mounts - and please please please - give them their forelocks (fringe over the face) back right from the start!

Some asymmetrical markings would be nice too. Everything is very lazily mirror-textured.
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

I can get behind this. I never use them anymore. They just look boring to me.

Actually, the mounts are correct....you`re thinking that the horses ridden by medieval knights were modern racehorses....when in fact they were Destrier`s...similar to shire horses....which HAD to be bigger to be able to gallop while carrying a man wearing full armour (and weapons)

    This is a destrier...

I am very familiar with the destrier (war-horse, charger). I didn't post any race horses on purpose, those look even skinnier than those I show above. The hooves of the horse in your picture are not abnormally large, just covered in hair, and its legs are nowhere close in thickness to those of a ESO horse. I like strong-looking horses like the one you posted, they look like they can carry a heavy-armored man on their back (unlike race horses), but horses in ESO look just fat and with wrong body proportions (I dare anybody to find a real horse with those chubby legs!).
