Returning to Game Question

Hi,

I haven't played the game since Orsinium. I've decided to give it another try as I want to play the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood.

Which of these should I play through first? Is there any crossover between the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood DLC packs? Is there any benefit to playing one before the other? Will any skills/items earned in one benefit the playthough of the other, or are they completely independent of each other?

Also, I'm a sorceror. I haven't levelled up any sneaking or ledgerdomain - will that hinder me when playing Thieves Guild?

ledgerman (an original game skill line)

definatley helps with thieves guild - because of all the pick pocketing, and lock breaking necessary to level your thieves guild skill line enough to complete the main story

some thieves guild passives could come in quite handy for dark brotherhood, but its also true of the other way.

and it also depends on what character you will be playing it on

took me 4 frustrating days to struggle through TG on a hElf sorc full light armour, and about 4 hrs on and a khajit NB full medium.
