Taking a Keep with no siege at all

Just witnessed a large group of EP take Alessia without siege. The whole group first jumped to the outer wall, then into the courtyard, and then they jumped en masse to the top of the inner keep. Was only 3 or 4 on defense as it happened so quickly. And Alessia went EP....5 mins. And it wasn't just DKs.

Guy said "If you get rekt with all the guards inside it is your fault." Guess so. For playing.

nah, just lies. (unless a patch broke the system)
at least one wall needs to be below 60% or flags won't turn when you stand on them

Actually it's a more L2NOTCHEAT for those other players. Zenimax needs to put in some kind of coding so that the keep/outpost won't flip if there's not an open wall/door. Then they can exploit and jump up, and just not take the keep.

So the exploiters can flag the keep and then jump up and take it. Nice. I still think they shouldn't be able to unless an entire wall is down or door opened.

Clearly, you need to get out more. Just because you don't know how to do it doesn't mean it's a lie.

All you need to flip the flag once you jumped into the inner keep is hitting that huge barn door with a ballista from the *inside* while standing on the flag.
No need to take any walls down at all.

No walls to take down, no sign of siege on the keep until the very moment the flag flips.

You already have your group sitting on the flag when you start hitting the inner door.
The moment the door is down enough to mark the keep as "under attack" you flip the flag.
No time for any sort of coordinated defense.

That's what the OP is describing here.
Anyone trying to cast doubt on the viability of this game exploit has an agenda, simple as that.

keep doesnt need to be flagged, it used to be one wall or door needed to be 90% thats it, but ive seen people exploit to get in and flip them randomely with no damage so the system in place doesnt even work to prevent needing the tiny amount of damage to the keep

We have supplied ZOS with a number of videos of this happening on PC EU over the last several weeks - no response, no action taken that anyone can see 'cos it was still happening from the same people yesterday.

The sad state of this game is that players will use any exploits that exist to their advantage until ZOS fixes them. ZOS doesn’t respond to these exploits in the forums. So with their lack of silence, players think this is a green light for them to continue to abuse exploits.

At the start of the new patch most of the gab closers were broken. Nightblades could ambush directly to the mage guards above keep doors as well as the other gab closers. I saw BoD (DC Guild) members doing this on NA/PC TF to bypass tagging a keep and getting inside. I told their Raid Lead Saramis about what his team was doing so that he was made aware of the issue. His response was, “that there wasn’t anything on the forums from ZOS saying it was an exploit,” and until there was his guild would continue to use them.

Just yesterday I saw Invictus (EP Guild) on NA/PC TF do the same thing at bleakers with some of their DKs and Temps. You can gap close on anyone standing on the grate above the front door of outposts.

A keep only needs the front door (doesn't work on walls only the door) below 65% for the flags to start to burn. Once the flags have reached a certain percentage of being burned the Keep will then (Flag, Burst, Tag, Light Up, Sparkle). This bug comes back in many forms over the years. Nightblades could at one point target keep guards through the door if you angled it just right. (Since been fixed) but it seems they break these mechanics time and time again.

As long as ZOS keeps silent on these issues players will continue to feel they are justified in using them.

I mean you got the main streamers openly crit rushing into castles, clear blatant cheating from emperors and their entire groups, that have been unbanned from their last cheating vacation.

It is almost sad, if not so infuriating.

I, for one, am pleased to hear players still care about objectives and flip keeps. I would even go so far as to say the fact it took the whole group to flip it alone is reassuring. Power creep was so bad that I would have expected players to flip keeps solo, duo at best by now.

    @JamilaRaj
If the keep is not defended (by other players), two is enough to comfortably flip a keep that way.
I've watched a well known player do this solo.

A larger group just speeds up the process and can more easily deal with defenders that teleport in.

They probably did this with another player (a DK) on another faction helping them get in by exploiting a stupidity in the way chains is implemented. All the people who run in cheater circles know how to do this apparently. I saw it done once firsthand, but I quit this particular group of losers not long after I saw them do it (it was a troll AD group that likes haggis led by a *** that the Germans would call an "unruhestifter").

Crit Rush currently allows you to literally fly up to a target above you. Players flying up top is pretty much something standard you need to deal with during a defense now.

Honestly I'm calling BS on this post. My guess is the dude was standing on the edge and got gap-closed to and died. Allowing some players inside, and making him salty. He then tabbed right over to the forums to QQ.

I do agree the insane gap closing bug needs to be fixed. But anyone who spends any amount of time in PvP knows you can't flip flags without damaging the walls at all.
